First off, I want to say that I am using this Velcro for a purpose that is beyond its design; I have a covered patio, and in the winter I enclose it with thick mil clear plastic to protect from the Michigan winter elements, and enjoy my hot tub without snow blowing in on us. Every year I improve on my last years design, and with that being said, this year I wanted to create 2 "doors" to my back yard with the plastic, and every other concept I tried did not work. Finally, as a last ditch effort, I bought this velcro off amazon (BONUS: they offer it in beige, which works/matches perfectly to what I needed it to). Anyways I ended up applying this velcro to my metal siding on my house, and the other piece on the plastic, essentially creating a door (read: flap) that can be opened and closed. It worked PERFECTLY. I did have to superglue the one piece onto my siding, as it was too cold out to stick. Additionally, I used extra velcro on the plastic to create a furring strip of sorts, because I used a stapler to fasten the velcro to the plastic, and without the backing, the staples would pull right out.Right after I applied this velcro to my project, outdoors, we had a bad wind storm in michigan with 65+mph winds. The velcro did not budge, despite the plastic flapping like crazy. This tells me the actual velcro "hook and loop" is very strong. Color me impressed!!

Only because others have complained that it was difficult to peel the strips from the plastic backing that I am I writing this review. I purchased the 15 foot x 3/4" roll in beige. The two sides of the strip were both attached side by side to a single long sheet of plastic that is about twice as wide as the two strips are. With this layout, it was extremely easy to peel the plastic backing off either the hook or loop side of the strip.I can't speak for any other styles or colors. But the version that I purchased was very easy to work with.

Works well to secure just about anything that has to be moved occasionally.

I used this roll to put the handstitched tapestry on the wall. I cut the roll into 2 longer and one shorter piece and used the longer ones to attach the upper and lower edges of the tapestry. The shorter one was used to create additional support for the middle part. Overall the tapestry was quite heavy (around 3 lbs) and the adhesive tape did a great job. I can’t say anything about removing at this point, but my purpose was not to damage the walls and tapestry by putting holes on it, which I could do with this tape.

I use VELCRO Brand - Sticky Back Hook and Loop Fasteners – Peel and Stick Permanent Adhesive on a wooden shelf that I put laminated tags that are taken on and off daily. Both adhesive on the wood shelf and on the plastic tags hold up very well and only need replacement if they get dirty from so much use. The beige is a better color match on light color wood compared to white or black. I found that the clear color makes areas that aren't as clean to stand out more than the beige.
