JOYCE CHEN31-0066, 13.5-Inch Nonstick Steel Dome Lid for 14-Inch Wok Black

I purchased this because I was looking for a cheap, lightweight lid for my 14" carbon steel wok. I was originally using a flat glass lid of the same size, but it didn't fit well on top and would sometimes slide into whatever I was cooking. I decided it was time to upgrade to an actual wok lid. Based on the price and the reviews, I decided to go with this one.I've been using this lid for a few months now and haven't encountered any real problems. I really enjoy this lid. It fits perfectly on my 14" wok, the dome lid allows enough space to have the wok overly full while cooking, and the lid is so lightweight you can store it anywhere or on top of anything with ease.One issue I've noticed is with the knob on the lid. It tends to get loose after using it each time. Is this a problem? No. It is so easy to hold the screw and tighten the knob a bit after each wash and if you take care of it gently each time, you shouldn't have to worry about it completely stripping the knob.I'm not sure if this is dishwasher safe, but it is easy to clean with a quick wipe of a damp sponge. I tend to not let it soak in the sink or scrub it with anything abrasive, but I'm not sure if that is completely necessary. I also dry it immediately after I wipe it and usually let it sit on the heat of the stove top for a few seconds to warm it up and evaporate any extra water the towel may have missed (mainly on the rolled edge.)For the price, you can't go wrong. I would recommend this to anybody looking for good quality wok lid.

A wok lid is really important to have around and I use it all the time. This one is nice. It is light but not flimsy and fits perfectly over my flat bottom T-Fal wok and it easy to clean. It's a lid, there aren't too many features to talk about. It covers my food while it's cooking. It works well as a steam shield so you don't scald your face and arms. My only gripe is that I have to take a screwdriver to tighten to handle/knob on the top about once a month. It just tends to spin through use. Otherwise I'm happy with it and it seems like a good deal.

Purchased this lid to give me the option of steaming my cooking using a wok. Fit my wok perfectly. Great !!

I just wanted to provide a few words to allay the concerns that other reviewers have expressed about the condition of their dome wok lids upon delivery. I ordered this Joyce Chen wok lid as well as the Lodge cast iron 14" wok at the same time. Shipping was handled by UPS and it was FREE. Both items were shipped in the same container and BOTH arrived in MINT CONDITION. I was a bit concerned that my dome wok lid might have suffered some of the same 'rough handling' that others may have experienced. However, there was not a ding, not a scratch, not a dent and no bending or wharping that affected my wok lid what so ever! I now have a perfect dome lid for my 14" Lodge cast iron wok AND my 14" T-Fal non-stick aluminum wok which I have owned and enjoyed for several months already. I tip my hat to the good folks at Amazon, Joyce Chen, Lodge and UPS for the most professional manufacturing, salemanship, packing, handling and prompt delivery of my order. Well... I saw it being advertised for a 15" wok... so I bought it.... but it's definitely not the right size! You want the wok to be covered completely, not a cover that falls inside of it. It's a good cover in the end, didn't like the material too much... in the end I always prefere see through tops, so that I can check on the food without lifting the top every 5 minutes... For my purpose it was not right. NOT really for a 15" wok like mentioned.

I purchased this wok lid on October 23, 2009. I am writing this review on January 3.2013. It arrived in perfect condition and it has worked perfectly since its arrival. I have used it in extremely high heat conditions as well as lower heat settings. This lid fits my 14" Lodge Cast Iron wok as if it were made for it, as well as my Chinese manufactured woks. It also fits on my 14" skillets and every day pans. It cleans easily. I highly recommend this product and hate that Amazon is not shipping it at this time as I was going to send the link to it to a friend.
