Review: Worth the money - I love this air conditioner, it was very easy to set up! I have windows that slide side to side and was able to get it installed in a few minutes. It works well, cools down my living room quickly. The only downside is you do have to remember to drain the water every couple of days if you dont have a permanent drainage solution, but that's really easy to do. I wheel mine over to the door, open up the valves and tilt it out the door. It only takes a few minutes and its light enough to do it easily! I compared many floor units before buying this one and read many reviews. This one is really cost effective but also works really well. If you are on the fence, get this one.

So adding this was perfect because I didn’t want to spend $1800 on a mini split. The window plastic attachment is not super high quality. Definitely opportunity for improvement. The seal stuff sticks too well, annoyingly well. I’d recommend using a plywood sheet and cutting your own eventually is what I plan on doing. Noise, this thing is loud, I have to crank my tv to 20, normally I listen to it on 7-8 at night but the noise is relaxing and ambient if you like fan noises. It actually puts me to sleep quicker and not waking up hot and sticky without having to freeze the entire house out is clutch af. Recommend would buy again. I do have to say I purchased a used/good one and my caster wheels were busted upon arrival, this thing is light and I don’t plan on moving it around so I just removed the wheels. I like how the top opens and the remote seems to be responsive even when lying down without a direct line of sight.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it supposed to shut off after 20 minutes of cooling? It switches over to just fan before the room is even cool!**
A: If the compressor shuts off after 20mins, or doesn't even turn on and start cooling, then you may be overloading your circuit. I had originally gotten the 14,000 btu unit and it shut it's compressor off after 20 mins, so I returned it for the 12,000 btu unit and have had no problems. Also, the remote has a temp sensor on it, so I removed the batteries from the remote and now the cooling stays on forever. Hope this helps.

**Q: Would the exhaust panel fit a vertical window that slides to the right (does it expand to fit)?**
A: One fix I found that works better than the supplied window insert is to buy a piece of plexi glass that will fit snugly into the opening and allow you to cut a hole equal to the size of the exhaust hole in the supplied insert. Insert this into the desired window opening with weather strips along the outer edge to fill any gaps or if you wish to keep the exhaust in the window permanently using caulk to fill any gaps. Insert the exhaust as you would with the supplied insert and enjoy less obstruction in you view through the window. If you wish to still use the 2 piece insert to install you exhaust and find it to short to fill the gap use a piece of 1 inch thick board the width of the insert with weather strips attached to fill any gaps needed to install the insert properly saving you time and money in ordering an additional piece.

**Q: The air exhaust hose is too short. Where can i get a longer one that will fit the unit?**
A: Amazon or your local hardware!! I’m not sure but I think it’s 5 in diameter.. I also need a longer exhaust hose!!

**Q: does it shut off completely to save power when temp reach the set temperature? thank you**
A: The fan and compressor shut down when set temperature is reached. The control panel is still active, so it does consume some power.

I love this air conditioner, it was very easy to set up! I have windows that slide side to side and was able to get it installed in a few minutes. It works well, cools down my living room quickly. The only downside is you do have to remember to drain the water every couple of days if you dont have a permanent drainage solution, but that's really easy to do. I wheel mine over to the door, open up the valves and tilt it out the door. It only takes a few minutes and its light enough to do it easily! ### ⭐ Worked for a few hours then started making loud rattling noise

The PNW is experiencing some very bad heatwaves and my apartment is not equipped to deal with the heat. We barely survived the 116 degree weather without AC, with our apartment getting up to 100 degrees inside at night. I saw another 3-day heatwave was coming so I decided to be prepared and order a portable AC. This one came right on time and I was so happy. We waited the 24 hours to turn it on and when we did, it worked great for a few hours. Our apartment is about 460 sqft, but the room in which we have it in is about 250. It cooled the room very nicely, but it turned off after about an hour or two with an “E3” notification on the screen. I looked it up and it meant I needed to empty the water reservoir, where I realized how poorly designed this ac unit is. The hole in which you’re suppose to drain the water from is only a centimeter or so away from the ground. I couldn’t fit anything under the hole to drain it into - not even a plate! I decided to try to use the pipe it provides to drain it into a nearby cookie sheet, but the pipe refused to stay on the draining hole. I got water everywhere and the rug I had it on was soaked. After emptying the water, it turned back on but then started to make a very loud rattling noise after the compressor turned on. I tried troubleshooting the ac unit for hours while my apartment was in the 90s. Sweaty and annoyed, I called Amazon support and they suggested putting a BLANKET over it to cover the noise! Now I have no AC, it’s going to be in the hundreds over the next couple of days, and i have to figure out how to box it back up after throwing away the box because I thought it was working fine. I did buy this used and it said it was in “very good” condition - apart from some cosmetic issues. This was obviously not tested enough. If I could do it again, I would just put in the extra bucks to buy it new. So disappointed.
