These work great and certainly hold their heat for very close to 24 hours. I use this size patch for lower back pain. It is the perfect size and not as bulky as the Thermacare back patches. I have used this product for years and highly recommend it.

I have regular nighttime pain in my shoulder and use ThermaCare patches just about every night. These joint patches work well, get warm quickly and stay warm for about 7-8 hours. Compared to TC's other patches, these joint pads don't heat as long or get as warm as the neck patches, but they're good when pain is present, but not as intense as maybe other times. I keep these in stock just for this purpose.

This is my first evening using one of these pads and so far I think they are great! I have frozen shoulder so I've been using a different type of heat pad from ThermaCare, but it was awkward on my arm/shoulder and sometimes didn't stay against my shoulder and therefore wasn't helpful because of that. This is the perfect size, I currently have it on the side of my arm as I have muscle pain associated with this, but I plan to try it on top of my shoulder at some point as well. The adhesive seems to be working well so far, a couple hours in. It's especially needed when sleeping as that is when it's most painful at night and in the morning. Hoping it continues to work great!

I looked at the image of this pad and thought I was looking at half of it, with the remainder on the other side of the shoulder. But no -- the pad is quite short, so can't really fit over the shoulder if you have rotator cuff or tendinitis pain. Additionally, the heat only lasted a few hours -- nowhere near the 16 hours promised. And the adhesive doesn't seem to stick to much other than hair. Consider me balder but wiser.

First up, I actually ordered these by accident. But, it wound up being a good accident. I didn't realize Thermacare had added a new option to their product line. These are slightly smaller than the neck ones but give you more control of placement say when putting on a swollen hand. I have used Thermacare since the year they hit the market. By chance, I was at what used to be called, Jam on the River, and Thermacare had a booth set up with free samples. I was a few weeks out from major back surgery. When I found this booth little did I know how much of a godsend it was. I had pushed myself a bit too far that day. I immediately put on a back Thermacare. Just the soothing heat it provided got me home comfortably and continued to keep me comfortable throughout the night. I continue to use these as my line of soothing an achy or stiff neck, back spasms, to my newest hip pain. With the hip pain I not only get pain in my hip but also back, buttocks and groin area. I can almost mimic my hip brace with the available line of Thermacare products or just select one to target a specific area. The fact that these last 16 hours or longer gives you confidence that the product will not only stay in place but give you a continuous heat to help soothe your aching parts. The nicest part is you almost forget that you're wearing it. They fit almost invisibly under your clothing. They don't add any real bulk. Just put it on and away you go. Or, put it on prior to getting into bed and wake feeling a bit looser. Plus, you can still continue to wear it since it'll still be working for you to ease you into your morning. This is and will continue to be my go to for aching muscles. I continue to tell everyone about them. Plus, there is no need to be stuck at home with a heating pad that you need to plug in. Kept hot for several hours. Did not cause any skin irritation as there are only four small patches that actually adhere to your skin. Much better than other alternative products
