Great value. Solid watch.
Very happy with the Garmin 55.It’s much more comfortable than the Apple Watch I was replacing. The battery life is amazing - I only charge maybe once a week.It does all the things I want it to do (heart rate, steps per minute, steps, estimated calories, estimated V02 max, GPS tracking, swim lap and stroke counting and likely more that I’m not aware of yet).It took me a week or so to adjust the settings the way I want them, but once I got them adjusted, it’s been smooth sailing.Very happy with the watch - good value and functional.

Perfect Entry-Level Running Watch!
The Garmin Forerunner 55 is an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate runners. It's lightweight, comfortable, and packed with features like GPS tracking, heart rate monitoring, and suggested workouts. The battery life is fantastic—I can go days without charging even with regular use.I love how user-friendly it is, with clear menus and a simple setup process. The pace and distance tracking are accurate, and the post-run stats in the Garmin Connect app are super detailed. If you're looking for a reliable running companion without breaking the bank, this is the one!

Light weight Garmin
ABSOLUTELY love this watch! The main reason I switched to the Garmin was for the size of the screen. It is SUPER light and not at all heavy on your wrist. I barely feel it on my wrist it’s that light. The time, pace, and milage shows nicely and brightly on the screen so no need to squint as we run. It was easy to connect to my IPhone 13 Pro Max via the Connect app (so download it first). Battery last a long time and tracks my sleeping patterns and stats in general. Overall, very happy with my purchase. The only con (for me only) is when text messages come in, they look like texts from the old school original Game Boy. For that, I do have to squint, but, I did not purchase it for that, I purchased it for tracking my runs and for that it gets 5 stars!

Best fitness watch
I've had 2 Fitbits, 2 galaxy watches, and an apple watch. These watches felt unreliable, and had too many features for a watch. THIS WATCH, the Garmin is the best of all of them. Accurate steps/distance? Yep. Reminders to move? Yep. Clear, easy to read face? Yes to that too. The app that goes with the watch have wonderful features and data that help me make smarter decisions. Features for runners and athletes do not get in the way of this unathletic grandma. It's just the best watch! I do not miss making phone calls on my watch, which saves money, too. I do recommend this watch.

Great watch, I recommend.
Very nice quality watch. It’s sturdy and comfortable as well as easy to use and navigate. Plenty of features and customization in the app to suit your personal use. I’m happy with how much information it captures and tracks which you can also see in the app.

I love this watch
I bought this a few months ago and loved it but wanted to wait to write a review so I could comment on its reliability over time. So far, this thing is great. Best sports/tracking watch I have ever owned. The battery life is as advertised. Lasts about two weeks depending on how active you are with the GPS during that timeframe. You can display the exact battery percentage, also. The size and display area are great. It doesn't feel too big but there is plenty of room on the screen for all the important info you might need.During workouts: you can customize what fields are displayed for each activity. I primarily use this for running, and I like how I can adjust what I see on the screen (HR, pace in whatever units I want, total distance, etc). There are actually quite a few different metrics you can display, so I'm confident you will find what you want. I also like how it vibrates at every mile marker and gives you a quick read out of how you're doing so far in terms of pace and whatever else you decide to display. The vibration is actually quite useful, and is powerful enough that you will definitely feel it (I know some watches are sort of weak in this regard).Heartbeat sensor: this was an important one for me, and this watch has performed very well in this regard. My older Garmin watch (Forerunner 35 I think?) seemed pretty unreliable with HR, but this one seems like its pretty spot on most of the time (as verified by manually checking my HR to see how close it is).It has some really cool "widgets" that you can add to your main menu. For example, I can check the weather for the next week with two or three button presses, which I think is a cool bonus. It also has health focused ones like V02 max and you can review your HR over the past week, displayed as a simple line graph. The only thing that bugs the hell out of me is that when you go to start a workout, a run for example, it will always give you this "suggested workout" that you have to say no to every time. It's really annoying and I wish I could turn it off, it just adds extra button presses before I can start my run. Not enough to deduct any points, but it's still a really annoying feature.

Perfect starter watch
Perfect for the casual runner, includes all the essential stats to help me train effectively. I also have the Fenix 7 and love the touch screen, but this one does what I need for half the price.
