I use these choppers strictly for chopping nuts. I have tried cheap ones, and expensive ones. The plastic parts always break before the blades become dull. This version has pretty thin plastic pieces, but it still chops my walnuts. In a couple of years, I won't mind buying it again. The blades are quite sharp on this tool.

The product is easy to use and efficient, it will make chopping onions significantly easier. The blade on the piece, however, is extremely flimsy. The blade is not sharp enough to cut through a full cup of onions in one press, and using force on the blade will cause the blade to bend and break.The blade on my chopper bent after I used it for the third time and now the blade no longer fits through the guide/blade scraping piece. Using the chopper without the guide/scraper makes the piece very difficult to clean and effectively impossible to use.Worked well, and seems to be dishwasher safe, until it broke.

I got this to chop nuts and it worked twice, then something inside broke. It also comes apart when using, there are no locking tabs to keep it together; it is by holding it together.
