Saint Arnold of Soissons (circa 580-640) Patron of beer and brewers Arnold of Metz was a Frankish bishop who lived in the days when water born illnesses were common. He extolled the health bene ts of drinking beer, knowing that beer’s preparation killed bacteria, and made it safe to drink. He is reported to have said, “From man’s sweat and God’s love, beer came into the world.” Through his preaching and miracles, St. Arnold refreshed the mugs and souls of many. Review: Happy with the medallion but disappointed that it included a little about the story of St. Agatha instead of St. Arnold of Soissons. ( I wouldn't have mentioned this here but didn't know how to let the seller know.) The medallion is as shown & arrived promptly.
