This back is short so for one of my books that was taller than back on this stand was a softcover book and it was little floppy making it hard for me to read since it didn't support that area. I had to use my hard covered binder to give support. If it was a hardcover book it wouldn't be an issue.The page holder takes some adjusting and it's a little harder to pin down a small amount of pages. It's like it's needing more pressure to keep it in place but if you wiggle it around some you can adjust it.The back stand ANNOYS me so FREAKING MUCH. I wish they would have a latch that closes it or mad it work to where it didn't just flop around. Once it's in place and on a solid surface it does it's jobs though.Overall I kept it after trying 2 other stands out that I quickly returned because it was better than those 2 and it does the job. You just have to tweak it a little.

Its good for smaller books but not large textbooks. Very light weight and easy to travel with.

I especially like the strength of the page holders. Works wonders for my projects. I could have used a bit more width, but the page holders work well in keeping papers in place.

This is a very handy item for those who work at a counter and need to reference books while they work, either in the kitchen or in a workshop.This book stand is ALMOST perfect, but has slight room for improvement in one aspect. The arms that hold the book pages open are simply too firm to make it easy/convenient to turn the page.This is a very solid and sturdy piece and has a decent number of angles you can position. It's not very large but is heavy enough that it should be able to handle books somewhat larger than the stand.Overall, I'm pleased with it, but they really didn't need to make the arms that firm, or perhaps could have had a way to adjust the firmness. If you need to turn pages a lot, this will slow you down and may actually risk tearing the page if you're too impatient.

My husband likes to read, either books or on his Kindle, while he has breakfast in the morning. He needed some kind of stand he could use for both for hands-free reading and so that there would be space free on the table for his plate. This book stand is just perfect. It's big enough for books (except perhaps huge tomes) yet compact enough so that it doesn't overwhelm his Kindle or take up to much space. It has metal page holders. You can set it to 5 different angles. There are hinges that enable you to fold it flat when you want it out of the way. And the carved pattern on the wood is very pretty. I want one for myself!

I've been wanting a book holder for a while, since I saw my mom using one and was struck by the genius of such a thing (specifically for the breakfast table where I read and eat at the same time). I got a different one from Amazon and it didn't work for me, so I returned it. This one is very pretty, study, adjustable, and holds the book very securely. It is nice for bigger book (heavier) and a bit overkill for novels (if you are a fast reader anyway, which I am). I really like that it is decorative, so I leave it on the table all the time and don't worry about hiding it away when guests come over.
