Do I have to buy something else to connect this flag to a flag pole? If yes, please tell me how many I need.

You need two gromets to attach the flag. The flags are great for the price.

Is this the size of a normal flag?

Yes, this is a standard size flag, the size is 3x5 ft.

Is it machine washable and can it be put in a dryer? How should I get the wrinkles and creases out of the flag?

I would suggest a cool iron. If it flys for a few days, the creases come oug.

Are these flame retardant? I want to hang from a classroom ceiling and it has to follow regulations.

I can't answer that question. I have it hanging in my office. Check with the manufacturer.
