Drop What You're Doing and Get This for your Blues Junior
The "Ruby" reverb tank that comes in the Fender Blues Junior is a huge disappointment, shrill and tinny and useful only below about "3". I never used it, which pissed me off, as Reverb was one of the reasons I bought my Blues Junior. I figured that the tinniness was just a by-product of the short 3-spring tank. Boy was I wrong. The BillM website for Blues Junior Mods convinced me to look at replacement reverb tanks. Amazon had this one for a good price, and it arrived in three days.As the other reviews mention, installation LITERALLY takes only a few minutes, as the reverb tank sits on the bottom of the cabinet below the speaker. No cover panels to remove, it's right there in front of you. Remove four phillips screws holding down the old one, remove two phono plugs (clearly labelled IN and OUT), and reverse the process with the new tank. I think I did it in 2 minutes, and that was using my Swiss Army pocket knife. I am not making this up.YOWZA. What a difference. Tinniness? Gone. Limited control? Gone.In their place we got sweet usable reverb that can be adjusted right down to a whisper. I now leave the reverb at 2-to-3 for EVERYTHING, for just a hint of Playing in a Tiled Bathroom. Around 5 or 6 it gets quite Surfy, and above about 8 it gets pretty loopy.I haven't done a direct comparison to a longer tank, but I assume that a nice longer tank would blow this one out of the water. Then again, those Big Boy tanks just won't FIT inside a Blues Junior. Given the length constraint of the small Blues Jr cab, this is a great reverb tank.Good price, super fast delivery, problem solved. The ONLY bad thing in this whole story is that Fender (congenital cheapskates that they are) is still installing cheap, tinny, shrill tanks in one of their most popular amps. What could the price difference be at wholesale between these two tanks? Three dollars? FIVE?One thing is for sure; Fender doesn't read these reviews.Got a Blues Junior? Wanna hear what the reverb is supposed to sound like? Order this tank, and fetch your Swiss Army knife.

Fits blues jrs and stage right 15 wat amps perfectly
Quality to stock tanks is much better. The volume is lower, meaning it takes a alittle more to really dial it in, but it’s usable all the way up to 12. Something stock tanks couldn’t do. These sound great and for the money, very hard to beat 10/10

Best investment for improved reverb
My 1995 original issue Fender Blues Jr reverb tank crapped out almost as soon as I got it. I repaired it 3 times before I gave up on fixing it again 28 years later.I was just going to get another replacement Accutronics (Original reverb tank included in the amp) until I started reading there rave reviews about the MOD tank. I pulled the trigger on the MOD and installed it s soon as I got it. My Blues Jr is like a new amp now! This is one of the best reverb tanks I've played through and HIGHLY recommend it as a replacement even if your reverb tank is working fine. It's one of the most musical reverbs built today!

Sounds fantastic!
Ordered this tank for a Fender Princeton guitar amp. Easy to mount. Sounds fantastic! A nice lush reverb that's much better than the stock reverb tank. Highly recommend!

Great replacement for my Peavey Backstage amp and now with more drip!
The original reverb tank in my Peavey Backstage amp (the 20W version and not Backstage Plus) was the OC Electronics Type-247. It worked well, but I was looking for more "drip". After some research, I purchased the Mod Reverb Tank (8EB2C1B) because it fit current specs and was budget friendly.Swapping out the old Peavy tank for the newer Mod tank took all of 5 minutes. I did run some tests between the two and found the Mod tank has more "drip", but not dramatically different. If I had to rate the "drippiness" on a scale from 1 to 10 (with 10 being the drippiest):- The original Peavey reverb tank = 6.5- The new Mod reverb tank = 8

Worked great!
I was a little nervous when it arrived in only a bubble wrap, lined envelope. You'd think something with a lot of delicate springs and wires would be packed a bit more securely. But anyways... 4 screws and 2 RCA plugs later, and the old Blues Jr. has it's reverb back! Im not sure if its sounds any better or worse, but it does sound good. The design is a little different than the origional. For example, the origional tank has a second set of springs that let the bracket holding the reverb springs, float. The new one does not. Also the three reverb springs themeselves are set up a bit different. On the old tank, the springs lie flat, side by side. On the new one they're stacked, with the middle one raised up higher than the other two. Other than that, the design looks essentially the same, and it fit perfectly. An easy repair job that only cost me $30. Im very happy.
