Easy to Install and Solid Quality
This vent kit was exactly what I needed for my Samsung dryer. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making installation straightforward. The parts feel solid and well-made, and everything fits together nicely. After using it for a few weeks, it’s holding up perfectly and does its job without any issues. Definitely a reliable choice for a replacement or new vent setup.

Not hard to do, instructions are accurate
Easy to install, did not have to disassemble the dryer to use. Just follow the instructions and it works fine. It took me about 15 minutes to install - start to finish. There is also a YouTube video that helps to see how to do it (there is also a bad video that has one disassemble the dryer in order to use the kit).

Worked great
Very glad I found this was fighting with kinked vent because it had to wrap around the corner of the dryer. Now the vent goes straight out the side and through the wall.

It works
Works fine but a pain in the butt to install.

Easy and clearly labeled
Fit perfect, instructions easy, saves so much space in my laundry room by doing a side vent. Parts are clearly labeled. Just needed to buy foil tape.

Able to install without Dryer Disassembly!
Excellent fit, easy install WITHOUT dryer disassembly! Our dryer is on a stand. First unplug it. Rotate to access original vent and new side vent locations. Remove screw holding the back vent in, (save the screw), and pull out vent pipe. Next, carefully take out the punchout for the side vent. (I used a straight blade screwdriver, hammer and tapped by each connection to avoid denting the side panel) I put my phone on flashlight and laid it just inside to illuminate the interior. Connect the pipe labeled front to the fan housing and screw into the tab you have to pry up vertical from the dryer base and screw in the saved screw connecting the two matching holes on the front pipe and the base tab. Next, take the elbow and slide it onto the installed front pipe. (Turned to line up with the new slide vent opening From the outside, select the correct side vent pipe and insert it into the elbow with the new outzide screw tab outside os the dryer. Check by feel that the two straight pupes are slid completely into the elbow, then reach in from the back and add pieces of metal tape to completely seah both sides of the elbow. (hint: if your light can be seen inside the pipe, add more tape to seal. Drill a hole to match the side vent pipe tab and insert a self tapping screw to fix your new side vent pipe in place. (Remove your flashlight/phone) Cover the original back vent hole with the provided snap in cover. plug in dryet. Done!

Not as easy to install as I thought
Kudos to Sam Root (see his review) who was able to install this in 15 minutes. I was not so fortunate. I read the reviews before installing and decided not to remove the drum. I thought it might be possible to assemble and tape the internal exhaust assembly (right angle) through the 4 inch holes. However I could not find an orientation that would let me pass the assembly completely through either of the 4 inch holes. Part of the reason is limited space inside the dryer cabinet and also the mounting tabs (not shown on the image of the product on Amazon) on the exterior of the two straight sections of the assembly. In the end, I could put 2 of the 3 parts together and tape them before installing. The last part I added and then had to tape inside the dryer cabinet. This is quite a difficult maneuver. This took me more than an hour. Perhaps I'm just not skilled. I don't know why a mounting tab is added to the straight section that exits the side of the dryer. There is no screw hole for mounting on the side panel. I don't know if removing the tab would have allowed me to install the assembly as a single piece. The other tab is nominally used to attach to a tab in the cabinet, but I found that it was slightly misaligned after my installation. The installation was sufficiently secure without it, after I taped the exit exhaust to the cabinet panel. Sorry I didn't take photos. One other caveat is that the punch out may not be cleanly punched around the entire perimeter. I found a section that was thicker and required me to chisel it out. That is in addition to chiseling the tabs holding the punch out in place. I'm not sure that this modification is anything other than for aesthetics unless it is required because of installation space limitations. There is no reduction in the number of right angles and only a small reduction in the overall length of the exhaust. Overall, if you need to install it or don't mind the effort, than this is fine. Otherwise, you may not want to bother.

Good quality - Watch videos to see how to easily put it in.
We got a new Samsung dryer and it has ability for side vent. We wanted to side vent it as it would then be about a 9" straight shot out the side wall of the house and would free up room behind the dryer. The instructions imply you need to take off the housings of the dryer to get this on but watch a bunch of YouTube videos as I found one where the guy explains how to change this just through the two holes in the unit (the original back exhaust hole and your new side hole) and you don't have to take anything off the dryer. It worked and wasn't all that hard Good product and does what it says it does.

Exactly what I needed in order to convert the exhaust to the side, all you need is the aluminium tape

Kit came with all the parts I need. I did not realize I would have to deconstruct my dryer to do it, but here we are.

Purchased this kit to clean up my Samsung dryer vent (right-side) which I had "fixed" once, but I began to notice a lot of lint behind my dryer. Sure enough the venting was disconnected from the blower inside the dryer. The contractor who installed it had MacGyver'd something up - and didn't tell me - which eventually failed. My attempt also failed and so I went for the Samsung kit figuring the higher cost would make for an easier fix. The kit is terrific, IF you have the right model dryer. I did not and as a result the setup inside the dryer wasn't compatible with the kit. This was a big problem because the vent inside the dryer could not be connected to the screw that keeps it from dislodging and sending lint everywhere. This made a relatively easy fix, a frustrating exercise in trying to figure out a way to attach the vent to the body of the washer without the right tools. There is a video on YouTube in which a guy with sheet-metal experience creates a fix - I tried pathetically to recreate. In the end, it took me close to 5 hrs to set it up. I was able to fix the vent via a screw to the side wall of the dryer and everything seems tight. My dryer is much, much more efficient as it is reaching higher temps and thus taking 1/3 the time to dry clothes. The kit has several different sized vents that you can use depending on your setup. I presume these are for newer Samsung dryers because they did not fit my dryer (2011). It has everything you need except aluminum duct tape and a vent clamp which are both key to tight vent connections, especially in the dryer. Check to verify the kit will work with your model dryer and it is easy peasy.
