Install was easy but did feel like I was working blind, hoping I didn’t break anything. Now that I know what to expect, I could I stall in 2 minutes…. Its that simple. It fits the 2016 Lexus RX350 fSport perfectly.Once installed, the device connected to my phone without issue. App is intuitive, video quality is vg.I’ll add to this review after I use the device for a few weeks.

Didn’t expect much given that other dash cams I used previously with similar features were far more expensive and the spelling in the listing description just gave odd vibes. However it only took a few minutes to install once I got the trim pried open. The footage quality is great, the app is simple to use and most importantly it looks OEM and super discreet. No wires, no mess. If this holds up without issues then it is a perfect solution.

This is an okay dash cam. Field of view is okay, resolution is okay, light vs dark performance (dynamic range) is a little worse than okay, and the mobile app is terrible. You could get a similar quality dash cam elsewhere for 1/3 the price.But that’s not why you are looking at this dash cam. You are considering paying triple what you should because the installation on a Lexus RX is completely clean and invisible. On that front, it is 100%. Because of the uniquely gigantic front window assembly and frit on the RX, any other dash cam you get will be very noticeable from inside and outside. This one is basically invisible.

The fit is close but not 100% as there's a gap between the cover and the windshield. I got in touch with the company and after several emails back and forth they shipped me another mold. I had to take it all apart and reinstall the camera inside the new mold. And then reinstall it in the car. It's not very complicated job but not something I'd ever want to do again. The new mold fits better with less of a gap although it's still not oem level fit.I also bought another cam for my second lexus and decided not to go through this pain and live with a small gap.The video quality is ok, not great but ok. It would've been better if the camera lens was located close to the windshield and behind a dark cover. It would've helped with the reflection. But you do get some reflection in a video plus the camera itself is not the best.Installation is great. And the way it looks like it's oem product is also really nice. Basically that's the main selling point of it.The app, wifi etc seems to work fine and I really had no issues with it.

2 Stars for terrible customer service. Let me explain the 2 Stars first before I get into what is great about the camera:I purchased two Fitcamx systems for my Tacoma truck and Lexus RX350L Everything worked except one of the SD cards is bad out of the box. Won’t format, read, etc. no matter what we try to do. My desktop or laptop won’t even recognize it. It is simply bad. Used one of my own SD cards and everything works great.I contacted Fitcamx support to ask them to replace the card and explained all the troubleshooting we did. Their response, “use a tool to push it in further into the slot”. REALLY?A better solution by Fitcamx would have been, no problem, sending you a replacement card. Come on Fitcamx, it is an $11 item.Now the good…..Easy to install the camera and setup the app. I probably spent around 20 minute’s tops and did both vehicles. The finished look is OEM and looked like it came direct from manufacture install.The Fitcamx app allows me to easily flip back and forth between vehicles (depending on which one I’m driving). Many easy to follow videos created for YouTube to match your vehicle installation to make it even easier.The camera videos are clear (night or day).I opted for front recording only but they do offer front and rear (but you much purchase it that way, you can’t add a rear camera at a later time).If it wasn’t for the issue with their customer service and poor response, I would gladly give Fitcamx a 5 Star review. A company that stands behind what they sell is extremely important to the consumers.

Camera is a little tight to fit but you have to force the rear clip to the piece that attaches to the windshield. I purchased the 4k but mine also has the option for the lower quality and its just as great. Seller sent me the wrong memory card but made up for it and got me the correct one. The app is good to although a bit tricky since your phone has to connect to it while the cars accessory is on or the car needs to be on. If you changed the wifi password in the app you need to forget the device in your phones wifi and reconnect and plug in the new password for it to work(lots of people think they cant change the password but you can). If you want to clear all settings hold the camera button for 20 seconds. Overall an excellent buy and the piece that replaces the factory piece looks OEM.

All the installation worked until I tried to put shell on... No matter how hard I tried, just couldn't assemble it with a click sound, and it was too hard to pull a little, seemed like it was stuck somewhere. I took shell off and then figured out that the camera wire took some space inside shell which would be stuck on front camera suit my RX450h has for LTA. I switched back to origin shell and it was extremely easy to assemble.I stopped trying coz I don't want to break either my LTA camera or this shell. So sad I couldn't enjoy this dash cam.Just be careful, if your RX450h has LTA as mine, maybe this dash cam is not suitable.
