I had used it a handful of times but it finally met it's match attempting to break a rusty chain that bad been sitting for some years.Since I now needed a new one, but didn't feel like paying for the overpriced MotionPro, the cost of this chain tool sold by 8milelake was an obvious deal. It's well made if you know how to use a chain tool properly (most people do not). Don't over pay on a more expensive tool, thinking it will be better because it was more costly.Use a dremel or similar grinding tool to grind the head off of the pin on the chain link before you attempt to use this tool and it will work much better and last many years to come. I also really like the rivet tool as the riveting pin does not sit flush on the river pin. Once you begin to push the rivet pin, allow it to flare the rivet until the rivet pin sits flush and you're done. I decided to go with this because item because of (a) price and (b) because I thought that there was no difference between this and the the $90 version. I was wrong. The quality is abysmal and I ended up bending bending the riveter and pin quite easily. Pretty much ruined my night and I ended up dropping my bike off at the dealer to have the master link properly riveted. Used it only to lock the new master link.If you are planning to do bicycle chains this unit may do the trick for a while. Or if you want to save some money and time instead of taking it to the shop this unit would do a chain (or two) and did the job for me but it will not last as it is extremely cheaply made (definately not steel, possible made with scrap metal)..TI does not come with instructions and it si not intuitive in any way shape or form.
