When the remote is turned on it searches for an unused channel and locks on it. So you do not need to search for one by yourself. There is NO manual way to change the frequency. Pros, Vary fast. Decent construction. Simple to operate. Decent price. Comes with remote /charger Cons, Too fast to handle /control Very easy to roll & tumble out of control. 5 minute battery life. Small ,no ground clearence. Cannot go into grass, needs almost perfect pavement to drive on due to speed. Comes with one battery. Kids cannot really control it. I like this truck but it is not mine i bought it for my 10 year old foe getting another straight A report card & he haa a lil trouble with rolling & launching this thing bc it is speed. If it were a bigger vehicle i feel like it would be more controllable.
