But if it’s the same region you don’t have to change the code or type it in all the time. Only when you want to watch something in a different region. As in the upscale it make my dvds look a little better on my tv. **Q: I switched to region b, worked, back to a for another, worked. now can't get it to switch back to region b. any suggestions? is there a reset?** A: I got a disc reject and had to revert to the enclosed instructions. A unit initialize or reset didn't work. As follows: Blu-Ray Zones A + B + C DVD Regions 1,2,3,4,5,6 By default, your Blu-ray Player is set to region free for DVD.
