Biokleen Bac-Out Bathroom Cleaner - 32 Ounce -Eco-Friendly, Non-Toxic, Plant-Based, No Artificial Fragrance, Colors or Preservatives

First time purchase. I need a product that will knock out pre-existing bathroom “leftovers” from a previous occupant(s). Something that is environmentally friendly and tough on these types of biohazardous waste. I used the entire contents (32 ounces) not because the product is not effective but because the waste had taken up residence layer by layer. If it were up to me, I would have either resurfaced what could be resurfaced and replaced what was left. I have ordered two more 32-ounce bottles and will thoroughly re-clean the bathroom one more time and follow up with routine cleaning after the second thorough cleanup. The stains that could be removed are no longer visible. In addition to effectively cleaning the bathroom, it also has a refreshing fragrance. I like that it is a safe product, very easy to use, leaves clean surfaces, and can literally tackle disgusting waste. The surfaces look clean and feel clean. So important in any environment and especially in bathrooms. Although more than I am accustomed to spending, I am glad that I took the chance because the outcome is worth it, and my health is intact.

I'm so excited to find this product on Amazon. It works better than any commercial chemical or bleach-based cleaner. I don't understand why so often people don't choose natural cleaners. Perhaps they are thinking they will get less performance? However, many plant-based cleaners - like this one - actually work better, smell better, and lack the harsh fumes and residues of traditional cleaners. This product has a great scent. I want to note that while I usually also love Seventh Generation products, the SG enzyme-based bacteria-fighting cleaner has a rank odor which my husband and kids complain about, and I don't like it either. But, Biokleen Bac Out has a light fragrance that smells exactly like lavender and lime, in a very pleasant way. BTW, I have also tried the Biokleen powdered laundry detergent and, like this bathroom cleaner, it triumphs over its traditional counterparts, and the box lasted so long that it was even a good economic value. UPDATE Oct. 26, 2012: I have three bathrooms and have not yet gone through my 6 pk of this cleaner after over a year, because it works so powerfully and efficiently. This makes it an especially economical product! It dissolves EVERYTHING - sticky/grimy/gungy/stinky/moldy/scummy/smudgy - gone. And, no toxic chemical residues or artifical fragrance allergens. If you still use traditional bleach/chemical cleaners (such as Lysol or Clorox), you will wish you had switched a long time ago.

This is the greatest bathroom cleaner I have used in years. It is a little expensive but I only use in the bathroom so it lasts a long time. The smell is not perfumed. I think the smell is pleasant. It says clean. I will buy again.

I had experience with Bio-Kleen product before because I had a small dog that was 'marking' his territory in my house. He could not be broken of this (Pekingese are notorious for it) and I could not get rid of him. So, one day, I found that BioKleen made a formula that obliterated urine in carpet and apholstery, called Bac OUT. It claimed to have good bacteria that literally 'ate' up the offending bacteria and odor in dog urine. I tried it and it did work. A little spray over the area and then press-soaking it up with a towel worked every time. I noticed later, when I hired a housekeeper to clean everything . . . including bathrooms and she requested cleaning supplies . . . I looked up on the internet to find good, natural cleaning products that could clean and freshen all surfaces in the house and be convenient to use. The most important thing to me was that the product be free of chemicals and leave a pleasant, (natural) odor in my home. I noticed the Lavender scented Bac-Out for bathrooms and decided to purchase the case of 6 32.oz bottles (A great deal for 46.00 and shipping) since I had paid about 8.00 individually by the bottle previously for the animal Bac-Out in the local stores I found it in. When I got the order (Fairly quickly - within days) I opened the box and pulled out a bottle to 'test' it and read the ingredients on the bottle. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product had absolutely NO emulsifiers, chemicals, or toxins! It was completely natural, with only lavender oil and natural bio-ingredients. I sprayed it in the air with no alarm and the scent reminded me of visits to a coastal shop that I love that is always filled with the scent of fresh lavender and other dried flowers and oils. The product is convenient and cleans solid surfaces well - including Linoleum flooring, counter tops, glass, and wood, and tile, etc. However, I was disappointed that I could not use the same product to get out the urine smells from my carpet. I had to fall back on the original Bac-Out product intended for this. Otherwise it is a great buy and a healthy and safe product that leaves a really genuine scent of lavender (not strong or perfume-like) but like subtle dried flowers.

This cleaner is just a spray and leave or wipe off, if you want type of cleaner. I got the bathroom cleaner and there were some old water stains in the downstairs bathroom because it doesn't get used as much. After a few sprays and leaving it, I noticed they were starting to fade. 1 week later it is white and like new. No scrubbing.
