Would this work in a infrared sauna?

I use it in my infrared sauna. Seems to work and hold up fine.

does this work in dry sauna? can u use in rooms around the house?

yes.It can be used both in dry and wet sauna. It also can be used in a room

will this work in a infrared sauna?

Might not work as well. I use mine in a traditional (170 degrees) sauna. The idea is to heat the diffuser as much as you can to produce vapor/stream. You may want to look at a different type of powered diffuser for infrared.

Where is the best place to mount this? Above the heater? Or away from it?

I mounted mine a few inches above a ceramic heater.
