Scala Classico Men's Wool Felt Homburg Hat

This is a great looking hat. I love this hat!! I have a few fedora hats but this hat is in a class all its own. It looks great on me. Simple but elegant. I wear mine with dress clothes, casual clothes and even with a tee shirt and sweat pants.

My only comment is that this hat SHOULD BE shipped in a Hat Box. It arrived in good shape, luckily since it was an international shipment. All good, fits right, some minor shaping needed. Good "battle" hat. It's not a costume hat, it's good quality and dress-ready at an affordable price. A bit high on the crown for my taste, but hey, it's been like 70 years since men stopped wearing hats everyday. Good buy.

Prefect For That Godfather Look ...

The hat runs bigger. Too high in the middle for me. But quality material.

I bought this homburg to try something different. I have a collection of relatively expensive Stetson and vintage fedoras. For 60 bucks I figured this was worth the try. WOW, I am very impressed! While the felt is stiff and probably inexpense, the hat has a great fit and finish. I wear a size 7 3/8 and got this in a large. A tiny amount of tissue paper under the inside band, and it feels just like a glove. I love it. While I still love my fedoras, this new hat does give me the “Michael Corleone feel.” Way cool, way fun. I must say it arrived in a plastic bag, and I am happy it was not damaged in any way. This fine hat is worthy of a secure box for transport. But no worries, if you order one, and it is damaged, send it back!

A great hat but a caution they run a size too large

I ordered a light grey XL Homburg, which turned out to be sold by Shoebuy. The box was badly dented, and so was the crown of the hat. However the hat wasn't worth blocking, so I returned it.The lining was attached to the hat only at one place, by about an inch of glue. The proportions of the hat are wrong, so that the dent in the crown ends up pushing on my head. Compared to my old Arnold Hatters Homburg, the material is very stiff and cardboard-like.I'll go to a real hat store for my next Homburg. I should add that this is the first time Shoebuy.com has disappointed me.
