Quality Control allowed compressor to ship with a hole in the welded seam
No solution from Dewalt yet. Still waiting. And of course, I'm in a time crunch with a project. Will update if they resolve the issue. A very dangerous situation until this was discovered.

Great compressor. No problems since purchase 3 months ago with intermittent home/hobby use with sand blast cabinet. Very pleased with Amazon delivery; delivered on time and as scheduled, removed from truck and used pallet jack to move compressor into my garage.

65db is a false sales claim
One of the main reason I selected this compressor is because of the 65db statement. Mine is measuring over 80db. They should remove that claim of 65db if it is not correct.

Very happy with the performance.
It's a beast. We power several air tools in our shop at the same time and this compressor has no trouble keeping up. You can really tell the difference between a single stage and this two stage.

Hope it’s ok
I’m sure the compressor is fine. But did not arrive on time and when delivered it was not even on a pallet. My son had to put on a pallet and unload with forklift, I’m sure the delivery guys helped.

pump leaks
Pump leaks oil, over priced for what it is

Needs a magnetic motor starter to preserve the pressure switch & motor.
I'm giving this DeWalt 2-stage air compressor one-star due to DeWalt not informing me of the need for a magnetic motor starter so that the pressure switch wouldn't fail from bearing the full 220 volts as wired from the factory. After 7 years of very light use, the pressure switch contacts deteriorated under the 220 volts, which caused the $638 motor to fail. Now I need to replace the $638 motor, replace the $50 pressure switch with a known brand like Square D, and buy a magnetic motor controller ($63 for chinesium, or $215-$250 for American made) so that the pressure switch only sees 110 volts, causing everything to last longer, as it should.I love the compressor itself, but hate the cheapness on DeWalt's part in not including the magnetic motor starter or at least informing me of the need of such for proper longevity.Definitely add an automatic drain (& heat tape if in an unheated shop).

1st Impressions
My 1st large stationary oil lube compressor and I’m impressed (class B motor not included). It arrived in great shape but took a 2nd delivery attempt to get lift gate with a super helpful driver! While I count on Dewalt to deliver, they can drive you crazy with contradictions over oil, warranties, power disconnects and so forth. After leveling and adjusting oil volume (over filled from factory) I followed break in procedure without any supprises.Electrical hook-up was overkill to my standards based on the best advice I could research. 6awg right up to the motor. I know from calling Dewalt the pressure switch alone eliminates the need for a power disconnect and the TOPS Motor eliminates installing a magnetic motor controller. If your happy with that set up and level of protection, great. Im not inclined to put that much faith in the TOPS Motor. The manual contradicts Dewalt and their warranty doubling maintance kit in that manual clearly specifies full synthetic (not blended) oil. Manual also specifies a power disconnect, again contradicting a Dewalt tech.Initially I followed Dewalts advice a used black pipe from HD. Having to go back to tighten a leaking joint in the worst possible location, I took a closer look at the pipe itself and was horrified by the rust, paint flakes and other contaminant inside the pipe do it all came down. I went with a MAXAIR 3/4” installation Kit so I can be assured if a clean system. Just hoping it was a good choice. Copper was not an option because best practices seem to require brazing joints, not soldering. The automatic drain seems like another good idea. Protective barrier added so I didn’t kick it. It can supprise you if your pressured up and standing close. I jump every time so far.
