It's not vinyl at least not vinyl that it says for the pool Not good don't buy it
This is not what the description says it is it says it's a vinyl pool patch when I received it it's just sticky paper that rips very easily there is no way absolutely no way you can patch a pool with this paper the description is all wrong you might be able to patch a blow up pool toy maybe an air mattress and that's a big maybe if you were looking to buy something to patch your pool do not buy this item it would have been great if it was really the material of a vinyl pool or even the vinyl small patches you can get it's nowhere close to that it's literally paper I was hoping that this item was really vinyl cuz it would have worked great for what I needed for this is just paper it is not vinyl at all if they're considering it vinyl it's like a vinyl you might want to put on your counters not even it's thinner than that to me it's not vinyl I don't consider it vinyl I'm sorry I wish I can give it a no star

Proof that you should NEVER judge a book by its cover!!!!
We recently bought a new (to us) home with a (so called) 2 year old pool, but when we removed the cover we could tell it was in bad shape!!! I knew my best bet was to replace the liner but I I knew that would cost alot and take forever to get done... so I ordered this, not realizing exactly what I would be getting, so I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I opened the package and saw this... we ultimately decided against even trying it and bought one of those vinyl repair kits from the pool place... which sucked!!!! 2 attempts at patching holes with those things and they were messy, hard to manipulate and didn't make it more than a couple of hours before they started peeling!!!!!So my husband decided to give this a try (since we live out in the sticks and there's no quick run up to the store to TRY to find something better) and THIS WORKS AMAZING!!!!Now, I don't know about putting one under water but we put 2 directly over the other peeling patches that we just placed the day before (that were already starting to peal), and it's holding up without any signs of distress!!!! Although they're not submerged in water yet, they have been getting blasted with water while we cleaned the walls, and have been testing the filters, so they're already doing better than the ones from the pool store!Don't judge this material based on how it's received... give it a try first... you'll be AMAZED!!!I'll update if there are any failures later...

Could be better it could be worse
It is a little thin but if you want something to stick to the vinyl you don't want it heavier and pulling away away. I did it on dry surface clean surface. The issue is the way it's packaged it should have been rolled up like a poster instead of folded and you're left with a lot of creases obviously creases not good for trying to prevent water leakage. If it's a small enough area you can cut off segments to avoid the creases and suggest rounding off the edges. I doubled up with waterproof tape to ensure the edges were sealed. If you're working around jet or skimmer I would suggest can of waterproof sealant flex seal whatever to get in between and do it in a couple layers letting it dry for 15 minutes in between in between layers. Filling up the pool fingers crossed worth a shot in comparison to replacing liner

Not great for vinyl pools
Not good for vinyl pools. I tried these patches 3 times and it simply did not hold. It didn't hold the water and it didn't hold the air on the outer ring of the pool. I used some heavy duty duct tape and it worked much better.

This is AMAZING!
So I read a number or reviews saying remember the adhesive....ITS SELF STICK! PEEL OFF THE BACKING!I mean, I figured saying self adhesive in the title was a give away but I guess thats lost on some..We had a tiny hole in the bottom of my best ways brand vinyl pool. No idea how it got there as it appeared a month after we set up the pool and there wasn't anything under the hole to have created it. After searching for days, I came across this product and the little video at the end that shows water spilling out of the pouch and the patching going on both the outside AND the inside without it immediately peeling off, sold me in a heart beat. I was super skeptical because my hole was at the bottom. Dirty and wet. I scrubbed it first to make sure it was as clean as it could be. I then held my breath, slapped on the patch and smoothed it out with my foot....it has not budged at all.I did cut an oval shape vs hard corners as was recommended, but it has been almost a month with extreme heat and weather, multiple heavy shock treatments, lots of use from the holiday weekend and it is still as good as the day I applied it...could not be happier...and it is a HUGE sheet of thin vinyl to contour to whatever shape you need it for. I cant wait to patch my tent seams!

Doesn’t work well under water
Was like a cheap contact paper. Didn’t work well under water. Disappointed ☹️
