We cruise a lot, and I am challenged with carrying everything I need for a day in port, plus ease of removing money, ID, credit cards, etc. This bag has it all, without being "huge" or bulky. It is actually a little smaller in size than I expected, which pleases me. It is also more attractive than it apears in the photo. The main compartment is roomy enough for my larger digital camera, with room to spare. I think my favorite part is the zippered, fold out money/credit card/ID compartment in the front. There are also hidden slots in this compartment for hiding cards and big bills. Since this zippered section is separate from the main compartment and placed in front, it is easy to reach without digging around in the main compartment or removing the bag. When shopping in foreign countries, I like to remove and return my cash or card as quickly as possible, without "flashing" my money, and this will work perfectly. Passports will also fit in this compartment securely, without worry of losing them. The front compartment with velcro fastener appears to be for glasses, but I will find other uses for it, since I don't carry glasses with me. The one thing that I was a little disappointed in is that the front "glasses" compartment is made of vinyl or plastic, not leather. But the balance of the bag is a nice quality leather, and I will not fault it for this. I suppose the front compartment needed to be a little more rigid than the rest. The entire bag is nicely lined. Zippers appear to be very sturdy. This is a well constructed, quality bag that should last for years. I give this fanny pack an enthusiastic two thumbs up! But the belt/strap was substandard and tore away from the bag in less than a week. The straps were NOT properly sewed to the bag. I contacted Amazon who contacted the seller for me. My goal was to exchange the bag for a new one or return the damaged bag AND ALSO RECOVER SHIPPING COSTS that I paid -$13. I am a longstanding Prime Member but this was not a Prime item. My concern was whether I would be reimbursed for the shipping if I returned the damaged bag. The seller told Amazon (per Amazon) that they would send me a new bag ALONG WITH A postage paid envelope to return the damaged bag. That never happened! I communicated back and forth with Amazon until I was blue in the face. Each time, Amazon said they would refer my situation to a specialist. Still, nothing. I gave up. But it still bothers me that I paid in good faith (along with postage) only to receive a substandard bag. This has been my all around purse for years. You can carry it as a handbag, sling it over your shoulder or attach it around your waist when you're short on hands. The center compartment serves as a wallet. Though someone complained about it, the front section does fit one of the tiny reading glasses in its case and the large pocket holds cell phone and other larger items. Just a couple of beefs on the latest design though. On my most recent (third) replacement the back of the bag had been changed to cloth whereas previous versions were all leather. Was that to save money or was it because it might wear better? And even more disappointing, the wallet section was made just the tiniest bit shorter, just enough that credit cards fit too tightly and frequently get jammed in the zipper. Come on Winn if you're trying to save some material don't. I would gladly pay a few dollars more for the previous version.
