Love the many different options for these connectors. I needed a T to run a new water line to a steam oven. Existing lines were 1/4" and that line needed to be 3/8". You need to make a good flat clean cut and ensure the line is fully seated to avoid leaks, but this works well. When I needed to shorten the water line after the oven was installed to take up slack, I was able to disconnect the line, cut it to the better length, and then reinsert it.

I checked at least 6 large hardware stores looking for this fitting and couldn't find it anywhere. Popped in place perfectly, no leaks. Bought it to tee in a refrigerator water and ice maker from a 3/8 line to a 1/4. 10 bucks is pretty high, but after driving around I should have just ordered it here the first time.

So far it installed with no issues or leaks and I have a 1/4" line running off of the main 3/8" line

This is like some miracle from the distant future. You can literally cut a water line and splice in an ice maker in WELL UNDER 20 SECONDS!!! If you're in a hurry and have sharp scissors, I bet it can be done in 10, or ever faster. As easy as this was (cut, push, push, push), I expected leaks and that I'd have to take the tee out and resort to traditional plumbing methods. NO! It really is that easy. No leaks. First time. I was amazed and kept checking for leaks, but there were none. Not even a drop. It's from the fricken future!
