I have had this mat over a year now! It always catches the litter and makes my life so much easier when cleaning you can also cut it to fit the area you need!

I’m so glad I chose this one - it stays in place and acts like a magnet for the litter. And Chloe’ approves too, last night was very warm and I found her laying in the bathroom on the mat (it’s large so she was not near the box) it must have felt cool to her.Very happy with this item & highly recommend.

This litter mat is well designed. Easy to clean with a smooth surface, so that little bits of litter don't get stuck on it (like on the previous mat we were using). Also big enough that it will extend out from most open litter boxes, so that it will catch the scatter.

I've written a very small number of reviews over these many Amazon years. I just never take the time. However, I am in such a celebratory mood over this mat, I just have to share the joy!In our new home, the litter box is in the laundry room which is a narrow passageway into the guest bathroom. Oh the horror it was to me to think of guests having to walk through kitty litter on the floor! In comes the mat with great hope, and it totally worked with great satisfaction! I actually don't mind walking on it with bare feet! The great thing is the litter just naturally falls into the crevices leaving an acceptable surface to walk on. The squishy nature feels good and yes you can kind of feel the litter trapped in the little crevices, but hardly so. It's easy to sweep off and give shake from time to time; also easy to surface spray and wipe clean. I haven't had to clean up a urine mess yet, which will occur at some point, but surprisingly not yet. Maybe the kitties are happy with it too and choose to keep it clean. Ha ha, yeah right. The remaining test is to see how easy it is to clean when a major mess comes along and have highest hopes for ease and durability in that process. I've tried many different mats, including washable rugs, and this one is officially my fave so far.UPDATE: Reporting on a urine mess cleanup. It happened while away on a trip so had time to seep in quite a bit and dry. Spray surface cleaning did not work, leaving a yellow stain, especially on the edges where you can see the foam. I took the mat outside and let urine cleaner sit on it overnight. I sprayed it with a hose the next morning and it was as good as new! We’ll see what happens when the next mess doesn’t have time to dry up like that. Despite a bit of a hassle, it doesn’t detract from what I love about this mat! It’s a keeper. :-)

I loved the previous one I had, so I wanted an identical one. The other one wore down in sections from being vacuumed multiple times a day. It definitely catches the litter and I received it in 2 days!

This mat is so much better than the ones with the big holes on top that are so irritating to walk on. This actually catches the litter & the cats don’t mind walking on it. Highly recommend.

This was so disappointing. I have a 5 cats, so I have 5 cat litter boxes throughout the house. I've had cats for 25 years (no, not the same ones, sorry Guinness). I empty the boxes twice daily and I only use organic litter of the sort that resembles clay litter (WBCL and Swheat). The bottom line is, I have a LOT of experience with awful litter mats and poorly designed litter boxes. The box problem I solved by using Rubbermaid Roughneck storage bins and cutting holes in one end. The mat problem continues. The reason I bought this mat by Kitty Fresh is because I have 2 other similar mats by different manufacturers and I like the material a lot. The foam ridges completely stop all litter tracking onto my carpet. It's just the Kitty Fresh was the only brand I could find without a pattern with a color that matched the carpet--I want the mat to be more or less invisible against the beige carpet. I needed a boring colored litter mat and Kitty Fresh made one in beige.Unfortunately this Kitty Fresh mat has 3 downfalls: the first being it's thin and floppy. I need something a little heartier, that I can easily slide under the end of the litter box, so it needs to be able to stay slightly rigid. It's lightweight, so it doesn't need to be stiffer than a few sheets of newspaper, but this mat is like trying to slide a pillowcase from one end..It's not happening. Second, the plastic dimples between the ridges are too big. My other mats have ridges that are about 1/16" wide. This Kitty Fresh foam mat has dimples nearly twice as big, which doesn't seem like a big deal at all and hardly noticeable...until you're trying to shake loose litter from the mat back into the litter box. This mat's overlarge connective dimples completely wedge litter into them so that they don't easily shake loose but must be extracted by hand. With better quality mats of this type I can easily slide it out from beneath the box and shake it back into the box, either rolling it back and forth at an angle or holding it over the box and bending it backwards to release any trapped litter between the foam ridges. Takes literally 2 seconds and I can slide the clean mat back. With this mat, pulling out this limp rag and shaking it out alone is a chore. Then hold it up to the window and you can see all the trapped litter still there. Third downfall is the packaging: the mat is nearly the size of a bath towel but it's folded into a tiny little square, making 12 separate sections, permanently.I actually cut this giant mat in two because I have another I did the same thing with and it makes it easy and lightweight to slide one end under the litter box and pull out. With this Fresh Kitty mat, each half of the original giant mat has 6 permanent folded sections making folds up and down...it accordians when you try and slide it under the end of the box. It makes it easy to trip over as you walk past. It is destined to never ever lie flat. So much for 'disappearing' into the ugly beige carpet.The only reason I kept this was because I absolutely loathed my previous 3 cat litter mats by PetFusion (SmartGrip, my a**) and I was willing to do anything to get rid them as soon as possible. I don't like to vacuum every day! I got a better quality mat the same size at Petsmart, made by Petsmart, that was rolled into a tube in a variety of designs. After the headache of PetFusion mats that I had to sweep several times a day with a dustpan and broom, I marveled at how easy the Petsmart mat made tidying the litter boxes! I just wish they made an ugly beige one to go with my ugly carpet, but the designs are cute and the product FAR superior. A side-by-side comparison easily shows the Fresh Kitty mat is cheaply made for the same price. I got a smaller similar mat at Big Lots that's also higher quality, but no choice on design. So I'll get another Petsmart mat, even if it will just draw more human attention to my litter boxes, at least it's not an annoying hassle like a PetFusion or Kitty Fresh mat for the same price. You can cut it easily into 2, or buy a smaller size that's also rolled. This Fresh Kitty mat is awful.

My kids are awful at dragging litter everywhere. This doesn't stop it, but helps. Easy enough to clean in a tub or outside. Can vacuum over or pick up and shake out. Also good for accidents, because it's foam but with a solid rubber backing. Prevents it from spreading everywhere.
