This book has lots of great information on deck building. It has lots of pictures and also had many different ideas of deck types. Quite a bit of directions on how to build a deck.

Good explanation of important steps. Material may be dated. Check local codes.

My local library had a copy of this book. After I checked it out and started reading it, I decided to but my own. Loaded with useful information and ideas.

This is a great introduction to choosing material and building decks. There's only so much you can see in a video so this is a great and wholesome way to look at illustrations and guidance.

If looking at this book in a store, I would not have purchased this book. I was looking for more pictures of decks, not how to build. I just wanted to get ideas, as I am not a builder. It is a good book for a builder, lots of information.
