Since the bottle is small and you only get a little shampoo you don't know if the shampoo works or not....Too much money for so little shampoo maybe great for short hair but not long or thick hair.....

This shampoo really cleans my hair and leaves soft and silky, but not oily. I have thin fine hair. With this shampoo I only have to wash my hair every other day.

I did a double take when I saw Herbs Botanica Red Onion Hair Growth shampoo in my VINE queue offers. After reading the description, I immediately ordered a bottle. I had NO CLUE that red onions could help strengthen hair and help with hair growth as well as prevent dandruff and itching on the scalp. I knew I loved to cook with and eat onions (Seriously, I'd bite into them and eat them like an apple if my stomach would let me get away with it...I REALLY love onions!) but had no clue about the hair/scalp benefits they provide as well. For the past couple of years, I've been experiencing thinning hair due to aging as well as some hair loss (In clumps) due to stress. Thankfully, the stress related hair loss has stopped. Still experiencing the hair thinning as well as breakage of hair.I've used Herbs Botanica Red Onion shampoo every day for the past week. I've not noticed any new growth yet. And to be honest, at this point, that would just be a bonus. While I originally ordered this shampoo to help with hair growth and to add fullness around my scalp, its already done so much more for my hair. This is a fabulous shampoo! An amount about the size of a nickel covers my shoulder length, thick hair. My hair already begins to feel different as I work the shampoo into a lather . It immediately becomes softer. It eliminates tangles. As I use my hands to help work the shampoo out while rinsing my hair, I can already feel a new fullness to my hair. I really wish I could explain this better. Yes, my hair is soaking wet at this point but it feels different, it feels thicker and fuller as I rinse and after my hair dries (I air dry), it IS thicker and fuller, including my scalp area where I've been experiencing thinning. It is noticeably healthier and shinier. There is no frizz or fly-aways. Less breakage as well. This may be a shampoo, but it works as a conditioner as well in my hair. When I use Herbs Botanica, I don't need to use a hair conditioner with it though I do at times. This is not a 2 -in 1 product but it sure works like one!I dont' have an issue with dandruff, so I cannot comment as to how well it stops dandruff. I do have dry, sensitive skin which worsens in winter months when the heat is on in our home. I am still scratching my head since using this but it has calmed down a bit.In addition to red onion extract, this shampoo also contains: coconut/sunflower/argan/castor/neem/rose /jojoba and sandalwood oils, Vitamin E and shea butter, to name a few. I recommend you take a minute to read over all of the info on this page including the ingredients in this shampoo and what each does to help repair and keep hair healthy.When the shampoo first arrived, I immediately opened the cap to smell its scent. (I'm weird like that...I'm the wacko you see in stores taking the caps off of hair products, laundry detergents to check out the scent prior to purchasing) I thought the scent wasn't too bad. But when I used the shampoo for the first time and worked it into a lather, I was able to smell it far better. I don't care for it. It reminds me of the scent from do it yourself hair coloring though it doesn't make my eyes/nose burn like boxed hair coloring does. I've not removed any stars from my rating of this product due to the scent. In the end, it really doesn't matter that I don't care for it. Once I rinse this shampoo from my hair, I no longer detect the shampoo's scent. It doesn't stay in my hair.Herbs Botanica shampoo has done so much for my hair in such a short time. I not only plan to continue using it, I already purchased a second bottle! I HIGHLY recommend this shampoo! I hope it helps everyone as much as it has helped my hair in such a short time! I do love it. I absolutely LOVE it. Yet another reason for me to love red onions! lol

There is no value for the money I paid since the leak in the bottle pushed the entire contents out. I wonder if the manufacturer is aware of the protective quality of the bottle material. So, no idea about the benefits of this shampoo on any kind of hair.
