It is not weather proof. Had a fairly heavy rain the day after I installed it and all my mail was wet. Ended up spending another $25-30 to get some weather stripping to install around the door frame to keep water out. Now it is "mostly" weather resistant. I believe it was meant to be installed under a porch where rain would not hit it versus in out in the open as it is pictured.Negatives:1) Not weather resistant without additional weather stripping2) It will not take large packages since you are limited to size of the mail slot.3) There is rust that has already started to form on the inside.4) Not sure what the flag is for since there is no way for the mail carrier to access the locked body to access any outgoing mail.5) It will not take any packages thicker than 1.25" thick.Positives:1) It looks great! I have had multiple compliments from neighbors and strangers about its uniqueness.2) It locks so mail is secure.3) It was easy to install.

Love the mailbox - just be careful when installing on a brick surface like in the picture. It will scratch easily and can also scratch when opening if it opens all the way and touches the hard surface of the brick. I bought a little black spray paint for a touch up after installing it and it looks brand new. I would have given it 5 stars if it included a template for the screw holes - I would have avoided scratching it with a template.

looked great in picture and great in person.chose to install w/out legs and put it on our stucco wall outside the front door. it was a bit challenging to install because on one side there was no stud to attach the screws to. Somehow husband figured how to do it and it works fine and is sturdy. if you are looking for modern and very unique, and that is what we were looking for, then this would be a great choice. not like anyone else's mailbox.

I love this mailbox. It's so sleek and modern looking. It's a bit bigger than I thought it would be, but that's OK. It'll hold all my catalogs and junk mail just fine. Thank you to the manufacturer for getting it to me, as I believe this style is now discontinued.

1st of all the lock is a joke, when locked you can easily pull down on the front door and it will pop open. 2nd but most important is the door broke off due to plastic screw fasteners. I would not pay over $10.00 for this mailbox. I paid over $135.00. Mailbox is a piece of garbage.
