Q: Are the plastic cups, plates, and utensils recyclable?

Perhaps you can re-clean them. I would not suggest you put them in the the dishwasher. my intend use was not to recycle, but to only have beautiful plates for the party. Which they are. I do not know how long they will hold up because they are hard plastic, you take the chance of them cracking or discolor because of multiply uses, in and out of water.

I think it would be unlikely for them to break in shipping. They were packaged very nicely - shrink-wrapped and then boxed.

AGAIN, I DID NOT ORDER OR RECEIVE GOLD PLATES. I ORDERED BLUE TRAYS FROM THAT VENDOR. 3 OF THE 6 IN THE SET WERE ALREADY CRACKED. EDGES WERE SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT SKIN.
