Perfect Pressure Washer for Any Scenario - Great Value
I bought this pressure washer after considering a plethora of different makes and models, including the option of electric vs. gas powered. I am glad I chose gas, and I'm glad I chose this Westinghouse WPX3400. I chose gas because it is much more powerful than electric, and I chose Westinghouse because they have a decent reputation, and the WPX3400 because that was the best "Max Pressure to Cost" ratio. I have used at least a half-dozen different pressure washers, mostly gas-powered, but never owned my own. Now that I have a property that I need to maintain myself, I believe it was WELL WORTH the price of this machine to be able to take on the significant number of tasks and projects that would require a Pressure Washer. The assembly was simple. Just a couple nuts and bolts to screw in (clearly labeled in the manual with pictures), and the top handle just slides on - no tools or bolts required. Great design. Starting Up: I thought that this Pressure Washer was a little flaky on the VERY FIRST USE. It took several pulls to start, and it stalled out on me. However, EVERY USE after the first, it has started up on the FIRST PULL! Seriously. If you buy this, expect your first startup to be a little rocky, but just let it do its thing - it'll either stall or you'll power it down... After the first use, expect every single use to start on the first pull, every time. That's how good I feel about this machine, after a small sample size of uses (~20 times). CAVEAT: If you are going to own and care for a Pressure Washer, you need to understand how to do things the right way. What I wrote above, about this machine starting up smooth every single time (from the second use on), will only be true if you care for the machine correctly. First, get yourself some 4-stroke engine oil as well as some "pump protector". Both of these items should be in the single-digit dollar amount. You will want these on hand because at some point you will need to: 1. Add more oil (or change the oil), and 2. Clean it thoroughly and protect the engine if storing it for any length of time. Second, read the manual in entirety, it's not long. If you're one of those people who throws away the manual without glancing at it and says "I got this", nobody thinks you're cool, and you might miss a potential quirk unique to a machine that will ruin your investment if you don't know about it. I won't summarize the manual here but I will touch upon two key things you need to be sure of before buying/using a gas powered machine like this WPX3400. - Be liberal with the "sample oil" included inside the box. I'd say use about 3/4 of the entire bottle, if not more. Use the dipstick to check the fill reading, and keep adding a few pours until it's at the right fill. - Connect your garden hose to the outdoor spigot and run the water for a few minutes before connecting it to the WPX3400. You want the hose full of water and not have any air pockets spurting out. Once the flowing end of the hose is pouring solidly, turn the spigot back off. - With the spigot turned off, connect the other end of the hose to the WPX3400. Go back and turn the spigot back on. With water now flowing directly to the machine, follow the startup procedure written in the manual, the basics being: Turn Power On; Turn Fuel Valve to On Position; Make sure engine is in "Choke" position; and give the ripcord a solid tug. If it doesn't start by the fourth or fifth pull, turn the water off and reassess. A few other helpful tips: - Once you get the machine running for the first time, don't worry about a stall or some slight oil burn. You want that first use to be continuous water spraying for several minutes. - On each successive Power Washing Session - you ALWAYS want to have the water spraying out of the nozzle at all times. If you need to let go of the nozzle trigger for any reason, try to get your finger back on that trigger as soon as you can. Ideally, you want to be continuously spraying water from the nozzle the entire time you are washing. Yes, this might seem like a waste of fresh water, but this is how you care for your investment. Instead of letting go of the trigger, move the nozzle away from your target and spray at the ground or into the air, and keep doing so until you are ready to spray your target area again. - If you know that you'll need to stop spraying for longer than 20-30 seconds, STOP what you are doing and TURN THE ENGINE OFF. - That might sound a little crazy, but this will preserve the engine life and performance. - Don't ever leave the engine running without spraying through a pressurized nozzle for more than 30 seconds. - If you need to stop your work for longer than that, turn off the engine; move the fuel switch to off and the engine switch back to "choke", then turn the water off at the Spigot. Disconnect the hose from the WPX3400, then pull the trigger on the nozzle to release any remaining pressure. - Do not attempt to change the spray nozzle until you have released all pressure.

Easy to assemble and use. Excellent product.
I purchased this pressure washer after quite a bit of research. It was highly recommended by Consumer Reports and appeared to be a great value for what you get. As an added bonus, it is MADE IN THE USA. That doesnโt seem to happen much these days. I found the unit fast and easy to assemble. Even better the unit has been very consistent and has done a fabulous job on our driveway, sidewalks, and patio. I also used it on the vinyl patio railing. It worked great and everything looks like new. It is also easy to crank. No issues at all. If you are doing flat surfaces, I highly suggest using one of the 15โ round surface cleaners. I borrowed one one the last half of my project. It cut my cleaning time by 50-70%. Very happy with this purchase.

Westinghouse Pressure water Wash Unit
The pressure water arrives on schedule with no damage. It took me approx. 10 min to assemble the unit. I washed my driveway and walkway to my front door. The unit runs smooth and not as noisy as I expected from any pressure water wash unit. It took me almost 3 hours to completely clean the entire section at the front of the house and the unit ran w/o any problem. I am very pleased for now. The unit is very well built and easy to assemble and operate. I ran it for almost 3 hours nonstop and there was absolutely no trip or auto stop like my old pressure water wash unit. the spray wand is solid but light weight makes it a whole lot easier for me to controI. I will update my review after every 6 months to see if the unit can maintain its performance. The pressure water arrives on schedule with no damage. It took me approx. 10 min to assemble the unit. Pretty good!
Assembly wasn't difficult, but it wouldn't start once assembled. Westinghouse's support sucked, however Amazon came through - allowing for a replacement to be sent. The replacement gave a bit of an issue as well, but after manipulating the choke, got it to start. It works great, especially compared to the electric pressure washer we were using before. If you're considering this, please make note that it is NOT RETURNABLE. We were lucky they made an exception for us.

Very impressive.
So far it's been a 5 outta 5. Comes with great instructions. Comes with tools to assemble it. Comes with oil. Was very impressed when assembling. There is a bolt you must remove and reinstall. The assembler at the factory purposely didnt tighten it down so that it would be easier to disassemble. 10 minutes after assembling I was outside using it. It has lots of power. After about an hour my hand actually hurt from fighting it. Cleans everything and never bogs down. Cleaned an old water tank and a very dirty concrete pad. Very impressed. Will update with longevity as time passes.

Fantastic Pressure Washer
At the beginning of 2023 I decided I wanted to buy a pressure washer. I have never owned one or been in possession of one, so I was completely new to this. I bought the WPX3400. The engine is pretty straightforward. There's a dedicated off switch, a choke/run toggle, and fuel off/on switch. On either side of the base of the engine where the block meets the wheel axle/frame are oil intakes. One is a bit more accessible than the other. The engine itself runs well. The pull start is smooth: if you haven't run it in a bit, it'll usually start within 4 pulls assuming everything is set correctly. If you have to shut it off midway and restart, it almost always starts on the first pull. I make an effort to keep it as clean as I can, and always out of the way of the sprayer. A full tank will take you pretty far in this as well. Just regular 87 gas. I did my whole concrete driveway and patio which hadn't been cleaned since it was poured. The difference is significant. I also did the concrete patio and some stone blocks at my other house, and also used it to quickly and effectively jet out the septic system of this houze with an aftermarket set of nozzles and hose. Again, worked wonders. The provided nozzles cover a good range of uses, from car cleaning to wood, vinyl siding, all the way up to very strong and narrow beams, which I don't really know what you would be spraying with that wouldn't be destroyed or seriously damaged. The broader nozzles do great for concrete and vinyl and softer targets. I have noticed that my hand will cramp after prolonged use of the sprayer gun. I always wear gloves but sometimes it can be taxing on the hand since it does shake and recoil a bit. I've had two instances where I've had to troubleshoot the machine. First, I suspect it may have run out of oil. It was running normally then just kinda sputtered out. I checked the oil, but I thought it was fine based on the indicator stick. Still, I topped it off, and it came back on with no issues. I'm not sure if the oil was the solution there. Another time, I noticed that the washer wasn't getting a consistent output flow of water. I had two garden hoses daisy chained together with an adapter between the two. One hose had a rigid body, and the other hose was one of the expanding/contracting hoses. After troubleshooting for a bit, I found that the fact that these hoses were connected and leading into the washer caused some sort of problem with the water flow. After setting it up so that there was only one hose leading into the machine, the problem seemed to have resolved itself. I found it odd that for all of the times I used this washer before in tandem with the shrinking/expanding hose, I never had any issues. I am still scratching my head over that. I also bought a set of extending poles for the washer, however I was not able to use them to their full potential because I could not connect them to the gun. The gun has an M22-14mm swivel port where the wand attaches. Keep this in mind if you have any accessories you plan on using with this, or consider an aftermarket sprayer gun, which might offer a more ergonomic handhold. To summarize, this thing is a champ. It's run reliably since I started using it in February when I first got it. I was jumping out and doing some practice runs in between bouts of non-freezing weather to dial it in. I used it last week to un-cake the pollen and sap on my car, which also did an excellent job. If the idea of buying one has been on your mind, this is a fantastic and well rounded option. It's decently powerful in terms of the PSI/GPM ratio, which I considered one of the more important traits of a pressure washer. Gas engines just run better compared to the inconsistency from electrical/battery variants. You're going to find yourself wanting to use this very frequently.

Arrived on time and works well
Started second pull and very fast compared to my old 1.7 gal electric one. Have to admit it does drink gas, about one full tank in an hour. But works well and did the job in one third the time. Now stored for the winter.
