Not a 500 Watt turbine.
The media could not be loaded. The most I saw this make was 60 w when I turned it with a drill and 30 w when it was turned by the blades in a gust way over the 13 m/s rated wind speed. It is nice looking and might keep a couple batteries on a trickle charge, but it's not close to a 500 Watt machine.

Not a good wind turbine
Lots of wind but does not charge the battery bank like it should. I wouldnt spend your money on this the charge controller is cheap and dont work like it should. It takes a storm to turn the wind turbine fast enough to get just alot something out of it

does not put the power it says
This wind generator only puts out like advertised at 25kns of wind 4 amps. 500w should put out 41 amps I had winds up to 40 and 6 was the best.

Divide By 10 To Get The Actual Power Output
The media could not be loaded. Like other reviewers have written, the power output is nowhere near the advertised rating. I was gifted the 12V 500W version and am only getting about 40 watts in storm conditions. I even bought a second charge controller to verify mine wasn't broken.It's really ashame the turbine doesn't produce much, because besides for being noisy, it's actually a really solid and well put together piece of machinery.
