PENGUIN The Couple at No 9: The unputdownable and nail-biting Sunday Times Crime Book of the Month : Douglas, Claire: desertcart.ae: Books Review: A good mystery book - Book came in good condition. The story is written from multiple point of views, 3 in the present and 1 in the past in the form of letters. It kept giving us twists until the end. This is my 2nd book from the author and I liked it more than โThe Girls Who Disappearedโ Review: Fast paced thriller! - This book had me at hello! ๐๐The story opens with a lot of intriguing and sketchy characters which got me hooked wanting to know more. The fact that the author gave me something more to think about as each chapter ends, got me more engaged and excited. As I turn more pages, the couple becomes more involved in a series of mysterious and potentially dangerous events that are full of twists and turns. Each chapter reveals something new. The book explores the characters' psychological states as they try to unravel the truths and the lies behind what is happening, adding tension and suspense to the story. The psychological aspect of the book is a central part of the plot and adds depth to the characters and their actions. The book title is a reveal itself! ๐ Its plot is a rollercoaster ride! Reading it wonโt make your brain stop asking not only the whodunnit question, but also how did all this happen? Whatโs missing? -Tomโs character was not given much value and the coupleโs marriage wasnโt given much exposure -Saffyโs character as a protagonist should have been more powerful. Instead, she was portrayed as someone with a very emotional and weak persona, blinded and confused by so many things even if reality is already in front of her. - There were details that were left unclear especially about their discovery after Melissaโs reveal of the two most important characters โ Rose and Daphne. If youโre into fast-paced suspense, this book is for you.

Really enjoyed this book. I had not read this author before but it was recommended. I loved it. Lots of twists and turns and the author doesn't keep repeating things all the time. I am now on another book of hers and will work my way through them all.
