High-Impact Cabinet Makeover with a Luxe, Real-Wood Look
This paper is truly impressive. Our cabinets were outdated and lacked any sense of style, and this product completely transformed our kitchen. I even surprised my husband by completing the makeover while he was at work—and he couldn’t believe the results. The paper is thick, high-quality, and very easy to work with. By following the instructions, the application was smooth, and guests are genuinely shocked to learn it’s paper. The subtle grain detail gives it a realistic wood appearance that adds depth and warmth to the space. Between the exceptional quality, ease of use, and outstanding price point, this product delivers a high-end, “million-dollar” kitchen look without the cost or commitment of a full renovation. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a dramatic upgrade with minimal effort.

Easy to apply. Sticks well. Looks authentic.
...impressed. this started as a little lunch time/boredom project. This was an all white/gloss lacquer TV cabinet. Always a bit boring. All dust and any speck of dirt shows immediately. Found this on Amazon and wanted to give it a try. Really impressed. I started with the top part. Almost carelessly put it in place and gentle pushed it to the board right to left and back to front. Shockingly easy. Did have some bubbles in the end but decided to use a small sewing needle to poke a tiny hole into the large bubbles, which worked well. It looked so good that I did the sides, too, and had enough left to cover the visible part of the inside, as well. I used an old member ship (like a credit card card. Gentle pushes from the center of the vinyl out to the edges/sides...one side, then the other, and down the center...the backing of the sticky side rolled or nicely... Some reviews noted this rolls up, and it does. I didn't have any issues working while it curled. And if you cut it, put a phone or tablet or some weight on it and you'll be fine. By the third side I was a pro haha so test out what works best for you on the most inconspicuous side and go from there. Definitely keeping this in mind for future projects. The one thing I noticed is that you are best of with about 1/2 inch overlap, i.e. in my case under the top board of the cabinet. Less does seem to not stick consistently. Granted, the instructions say to use a hairdryer for these 90° edges but I only own a heat gun. Def recommended.

Beautiful results, better than expected
This contact paper’s quality / look is way above what we expected. Looks like real wood and was easy to apply, no issues. Would definitely recommend.

Go for it! But, do your research and get the tools.
Update: It has been over a year since I installed this, and it has held up for the most part. We've nicked it in places and rolled it back down and covered those areas with clear fingernail polish, but it leaves a tiny, raised, round spot that is not particularly attractive if you are looking directly at it. Lessons learned: 1. I should have sealed it with poly when it was first installed with a high gloss. It would have protected it and I'm not about to try to create a form for epoxy or go through that expense. 2. You should do this with the person you live with because if they went through the trouble to install it, they would be more careful. Not to say they weren't entirely, but I will never forget the ordeal it was to install, not in minutes, but days! 3. Rounded countertops are the devil. The end piece of the counter was flat while the edges were round so I bought iron-on walnut veneer. It was perfect for a year, but I put tung oil finish on it to get the color to match better. Bad decision. Oil it or wax it but do not add anything that will harden the veneer. Otherwise, this fixed all of my wrinkles at the edge's issues. 4. Hot pans are the enemy but not anything compared to the particle board under the edges. I bought Gorilla tape to hold them and it came loose! Shoe glue (who knew such a thing existed until my Chaco's made me look because Amazon literally has everything you could ever need!) was what made it stick the longest. Super glue, nope. Construction adhesive, I think the tube laughed at me. Shoe glue. Only option I found and it still comes loose sometimes. 5. I'm selling my house now and the realtor didn't know it was contact paper because of the veneer. I caulked the rest into the "built-in" backsplash an pray a lot that they replace the countertops and don't cuss me for it too bad. 6. It's been over a year, and I still don't regret doing this. A contractor saw it and thought I got new countertops since he'd been there last. When I told him what it was he said unironically, "Girl, you should have been an engineer." Ironic because I suck at math. 7. Should you do this? Depends. How much do you hate your countertops? I loathed mine. As in a deep down hatred for going in my kitchen. Can you put in something better? If so, do that. If not, this is an option but not an inexpensive one in the long run. I have around $250 invested for nicks with nail polish and if I had the guts, I probably would have bought butcher block and cut around the sink using the old counter as a template. I could have bought it in 3 pieces over time and installed a whole new countertop for around $500 but I was impatient and afraid. I won't make that mistake again. Not having a truck was also a barrier but I could have rented one from the Orange Store for $20 and done it for $540 because one of those pieces would have fit in my car. Also, if I brought a template, they probably would have cut the hole for me for the sink. Final Thoughts: Get the real thing if you can stand it. This works, and it made living in this house much more tolerable for over a year and still does. However, now that I need to sell, I fully regret my impatience. This will come out, likely during the inspection which makes me incredibly anxious. That alone gives me regret. I had too many other issues to fix for counters to be in the budget or I may have to find a way on the fly. Not optimal. Renters? Live your best life! Homeowner's who plan to sell in under 3 years should buy real countertops for what this ACTUALLY ends up costing you over the long haul. I have to admit that after four months, it is holding up well! I have rounded edges on my counters, and this was a beast that I could not master. I ended up ordering a flat walnut veneer to cover that edge. I also added Gorilla Tape underneath to hold it but haven't used it. No heat issues or cuts but I'm careful with coffee cups and pans and always have used cutting boards. I also don't have any young kids or older ones who aren't respectful of the fact it's contact paper. It will stretch if you don't take it slow and get the bubbles out and bubbles will appear days later defying all logic but a pin and rub did the job. I also used the soft side smoother that I ordered here. These are necessary to not cause any stretching issues to rub out those stubborn bubbles. Will it last forever? Nope. Will it last a year? Yes and probably much longer. Walnut color is beautiful and made such a difference in the look and feel of my kitchen after living with fake black marble laminate countertops that I hated with every bone in my body. Super sticky, the extra width was a life-saver. It took me all day to complete (after a day of prep) and I have an average sized kitchen but I took my time, learned some lessons (wet method!) and am happy with the outcome! Buy extra. Mistakes will be made. It's tedious, painful to contort one's self to install the corners, hence the 4 stars, but for the price I'm so glad I tried it and it looks this much different!

Aesthetic and Lasts!
Color is as expected! Pattern is as expected! Good quality and fairly easy to use! Smooth finish! I love you can choose different sized rolls! I will say I am not sure if we could’ve applied better but when folding the corners in and under it didn’t seem that part sticked super well but I think we could’ve done the corners better! This has held up for several months now! I used it for a trashcan cabinet that I thrifted that originally had a very light pine or oak colored top!

Really Good Quality
Really pretty print. High quality. It has a grain feel to it. I use coasters because I’m paranoid but it is water resistant and not too too easy to scratch. The stickyness is nice - but a year later I see the bottom of my desk is starting to peel - it has lost a bit of its stickyness. I 100% recommend this product. I think the next time I DIY my standing desk table top, I will not only just wrap the top and around the edges - but also seal the bottom too so there isn’t a risk anymore of it peeling up. I am not sure what I could add through to improve the stick of this product tho. But then again - too much stick = damage and I used the paper on a cheap chipboard desk so I didn’t care about damages.

Durable and sticky
Very sticky and very durable! My husband will be making us a live edge countertop / custom cabinets but we had to put temporary countertops/cabinets in until that project hits the top of the list. Lol This looks classy and is very easy to clean, very durable. He is even impressed at how nice it looks (as a carpenter he was not excited about vinyl/fake wood countertops!) The adhesive is VERY sticky and NOT reposition-able. Don’t put it on anything you don’t intend to keep it on. I tried to reposition it on a small piece on the other side of the stove and it peeled off chunks of the cabinet-grade plywood when I moved it!

Great product
I used this paper for a mock fence for a Christmas backdrop, worked perfectly. Easy to use, the color matched what the picture showed, great adhesiveness, the product aligns with the cost.

Easy to work with
Looks fantastic, it was so easy to install and easy to line up if you have a large area to cover. It’s durable and doesn’t tear easily! We are very happy with the result!

Poorly packaged and therefore impossible to use/fix
Product looks good when you get it flat but problem is it came bubbled on the wrapper so, even though I was using a wallpaper flattened thingy, it was already compromised on the roll and the inconsistencies were impossible to smooth out? Maybe if you’re using a heat gun but, a complete waste of my money. Used most of the roll trying to figure this out. Not easy. If it were flatly rolled it would have been gorgeous and easy to apply.
