This privacy handle came out excellent. It was installed in less than 5 minutes. We have Older doors in our home, and it modernized the look. It fits perfectly!!!!! The finish is phenomenal and this will solve any privacy issues. Since the strike plate didnโt fit perfectly, it still shuts very well. It is a very strong and durable door handles. It will be great in any home. If youโre in the market for one, I would recommend this one for you. Will buy again and add the same ones in the main floor and the basement!!!!

The installation was pretty straight forward. Everything was there. I ordered two and neither had scratches both had smooth finish.

I wanted a keyed lock to secure a room in my house. I could not find a matching design in the home improvement stores. Amazon had it in stock and delivered in two days. Thank you Amazon. Don S.

Short review: This works great. When you order, you've got 3 choices: - "Pattern" the doorknob/handle (these can be "Manhattan" for curved handles, "orbit" for round doorknob, "Latitude" for squared handles), you get the idea. - "Style" the Trim Escutcheon/bezel shape [ the part where the door meets the handle ] ("Standard" for round escutcheon, "Rosewood" for octagon, "Century" for rectangular, "Wakefield" for oval, etc - "Color Name" ... this is really metal finish: "Bright Chrome", "Antique Brass", "Brushed Nickel" etc. Note that only a few combinations of Patterns, Styles, and Colors are available. I bought the Keyed Entry Lock with Manhattan Lever, Century Trim, Satin Nickel. Schlage # F51A This was a retrofit for an old, beat-up cottage door. (I removed an old defunct mortise lock and filled the resultant hole with 3/4" plywood, glued & brad-nailed in place). The product photos on this web-page don't show much -- just the handle & trim -- but everything is included in the package: Two spring-loaded handles with 2 matching escutcheon plates, the internal mechanism with the door latch, strike plate, a pair of Schlage keys, screws, and printed instructions. (but online video instructions are way better!) The Schlage instructions are a bit cryptic, but the installation was easy: drill a 2 1/4" hole through the door and a 1" hole for the latch. Lots of videos on youtube will show you how to do this. When fitting everything, make certain that the bored holes are clean, without jogs -- misaligned holes cause bad latching and clunky operation. The actual handle and latch-sets work perfectly. Nice spring action, and the latch works fine. A few minor points: (1) This fits either 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" setback from edge of door to center of the big hole. If you already have a deadbolt installed, use the same setback so they match. (2) Works on left or right handed doors. (3) Century Trim covers up more damaged wood than other trim styles. (4) Two latch faceplates are included - a rectangular one or a small round one. (5) When a resident turns the lever to leave home, the interior thumb-latch changes to the unlocked position. So if you open the door from the inside as you leave home, you have to manually lock the door, either by turning the thumb-latch or using a key. This is either a feature (you can leave quickly and won't lock yourself out) or a bug (the door won't automatically lock when you leave) (6) I re-keyed the entry lever cylinder to match our house key. Easy with a Schlage re-key kit. (7) the pronunciation of "Schlage" rhymes with "lag"
