Twisted Lies: An absolutely gripping mystery and suspense thriller

I have been a huge fan of the Angela Marsons Kim Stone series from the very first book. Kim Stone is one of the best characters in this genre and the stories about her exploits are fantastic. In my opinion, this is one of the best to date. The intricacies of the story itself will have you second guessing yourself throughout. The killer in this book is truly evil. I tired so hard to figure out who it actually was and then when the killer was revealed, I just shook my head. Kim Stone is a unique individual who is flawed by her past and the horrific incident that made her the outstanding detective she is today. Even with her flaws, she is still dogged in her pursuit for justice for the victim. She never wavers in her task, she is as stubborn as they come, her conviction to pursue the killer is set in "stone", and she sees the case to the end no matter how many toes she has to step on. One of the things I really liked about this book is the relationship with Frost, the reporter. They had parallel cases and it made me see Frost in a different light. But then we cone to the very last page. Oh, Angela Marsons, what a huge tease you are!! You grabbed this reader with last few lines and now I am going to have to wait for the next book to see how this shocker plays out! Thank you for Kim Stone and the stories you bring to us. I have enjoyed them all and look forward to the next.

one star less than usual for this D.I. Kim Stone book - the relationship between the victims was obvious at least 10 chapters before Kim got it - very frustrating and one of the "reasons" given at the end of the book was roo weak. Otherwise a good read.
