Review: NICE BRIDGE but it didn't work for me - First I put this on my Fender Squier Jazz bass, hoping it would fix the "dead spot" issue on first string seventh fret. Bridge went on great, was able to adjust it just perfect.... did NOTHING for the dead spot though. Next I tried it on my Fender Squier PJ bass. After doing a full action set-up, checking everything from neck relief to intonation, the bridge ALMOST worked, but the first and fourth bridge saddles were completely "decked" -- basically I took the height adjustment screws out -- and the action was STILL a little too high. This was undoubtedly due to the slightly thicker bottom plate, which was great except it was too thick for this bass. Very nice bridge if it works for you though. It is slightly bigger than the regular cheap Fender bridges, and looks very sharp!!!! Not as huge as some "high mass" bridges but I think that's a good thing. Very sorry it didn't work out for me! It is heavier than the original bridge and seems to be a lot better made. It is definitely a lot beefier than the original. The barrels screws rides in slots to keep it straight.
