Everything I'd hoped for
This entry lock is a wonderful example of current technology applied to an old concept.Touch the keypad, and it lights up. Enter your pre-assigned entry code, and the exterior handle becomes functional (will unlatch the door) for however many seconds it has been programmed. The exterior handle is then automatically disabled, eliminating the possibility of someone leaving the entry unlocked. From the interior side of the door, the handle always functions, eliminating the possibility of someone being locked in.The owner/manager can program the lock to accept several hundred individual entry codes, allowing him/her to assign individual codes to individual users, then to dis-allow access when appropriate. Lock can also be programmed to do a bunch of other cool things. And, it talks to you in English, Spanish or French.This is an excellent solution for a door that needs to allow entry only to qualified individuals, eliminate the hassle of keys, having to re-key to eliminate users, etc., and being able to take away entry privileges very easily. And it has a key, allowing default back to "old tech" means of opening.It's not cheap, but it's a well-designed, solidly-built piece of hardware. I'm very pleased with it, and will be buying more.
