I struggled for the last year to find a western style work boot that would fit my feet and I had problems with everything until I found this boot. I've worn this all fall and winter and it is definitely waterproof. I treated them with mink oil to protect and further waterproof the leather as well. My feet are 10.5 normally and maybe slightly wide at the toes. I wear medium to heavy wool socks all the time and size 11M fit like a glove. Plenty of room to wiggle my toes but they still grip my ankle and top of my foot firmly so that they won't cause blisters when walking. I've put on hundreds of miles with no blisters. If I wear cotton socks, they are just slightly loose but still wear well. Tread is solid. As long as I kept moving on the coldest winter days we had this year in Michigan (-5F) my feet were warm with one pair of mid-weight wool socks. Anything above 10F and I never had a problem staying warm, even if I was just standing around outside. I never sat in a tree stand with these, so I can't comment on their warmth when sitting for long periods. I ordered a size larger and they were too big, so if you wear Justin order the same size. Beautiful boots and great grain with no imperfections in the leather. Nicely designed to blend from leather to the abrasion resistance.
