Oem and functional
Appears to be genuine and it works as intended. A worthy replacement when you are swapping your intake cover after a DOD/VVT job.

Good fit. GMC sierra 2012. A bore scope would be handy to have. You could check the screen and check for any leaks.

No more P0521
I got a P0521 code on my 2011 Silverado with 5.3L. I put this one on 4 days ago and cleared the code and it hasn't come back on yet. I cleared it before ordering this one and it came back on the same day. I'll update if anything changes. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to change it. You need a 1 1/16 deep socket (available for around $5 on Amazon). I used a swivel, 3" extension, and a 3/8 drive ratchet and was able to remove it without too much trouble. The hardest part was getting the electrical connector off the old one. Have to go by feel as you can't really see it. Once you figure out that the tab on the side slides straight up it's not too bad. I installed a new filter that goes under it as well. There are cheaper ones available but this has the best reviews so I went with it. This is a job you only want to do once! I also changed my oil afterwards, mine didn't have the filter and some trash from the old one showed down inside the hole so I didn't want any debris floating around in the crankcase!

WORST PURCHASE OF MY LIFE!!!!
After 100k miles oil sensor failed on vehicle constantly read 80 psi even with engine off. I purchase this sensor against online advice stating the OEM sensor seemed unreliable. I went ahead and purchased this sensor trusting OEM part over aftermarket options. It should be noted that there are additional costs with this replacement, you have to remove the intake manifold to get to the part and the gaskets cost around $80 not to mention the half plus day of effort to complete this task, or you could always take it to a dealership. I was afraid of a potential failure of an aftermarket part because of the difficulty of the task of replacing. With confidence in my purchase of an OEM part I accepted the challenge and time commitment. After a long day, and unforeseen issues along the way, this new sensor was installed. I started my vehicle and when everything checked out, I was proud of my accomplishment. Not nearly two weeks and less than 1000 miles THE F¥@ING SENSOR FAILED!!!! NOW I HAVE TO EITHER PAY A REPAIR SHOP TO REPLACE IT, OR DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. EVEN IF I DO THIS AGAIN, I HAVE TO REPLACE THE GASKET AGAIN SINCE IT WILL NOT BE REUSABLE. AMAZON CSR refunded for sensor. I was not happy so they offered a gift card for less than cost of sensor or gasket; I was still not happy, so they extended my Prime membership one month. I was not asking for anything and in fairness to CSR, not really sure what she could do, but really, one month extention to Prime membership. That membership compels me to spend money with Amazon, so even if it was free they would benefit. I spend thousands each year on Amazon, offering me a month of Prime actually upset me. How does that make it better... I am pissed, and my anger is with this part, but the whole one month just made me feel worse.

Did the trick!
The sensor went in my 2010 Silverado. Oil pressure gauge was showing low pressure then no pressure. This part came as advertised and worked like a charm. Oil pressure gauge has been reading properly for over a year now. No issues.
