Works well, looks like a high quality unit
The media could not be loaded. 27JUL22 UPDATE:I have been using this charger to charge my Rivian R1T since 22DEC21, no issues charger is working great charges at 40AMPS, I am very happy with this purchase. This level 2 charger arrived quickly, and was a breeze to install. It is manufactured in China, but seems to be very well made. Hopefully it will give me many years of use.I replaced the 4 pin plug with a 3 pin plug to match my outlet. The 2 power wires now have extra protection so that they do not come into direct contact with the 4th (unused) pin on the original plug and are not likely to chaff.I bought this unit for the Rivian R1T vehicle that I'm getting as it is fully electric. The attached video show the unit charging my 2012 Chevrolet Volt which can only accept upto 14 AMPS

Works flawlessly
This is my third charging station that I bought from Amazon. Initially I went with the company called VEVOR and I ordered two different chargers from them. None of which worked. Then I came across lectron and saw that they had really good reviews. The charging station was slightly pricey but well worth it, fantastic quality and works flawlessly. From a charging standpoint I am getting 39 amps which is really good and charges my car pretty fast.

Does not work with KIA EV6
I purchased this unit with the hopes of saving some money and getting a unit that worked with my 50 Amp breaker that was installed by a certified electrician. While the physical instruction manual was mis-stapled with english, french and spanish pages out of order, installation was pretty easy. The unit has a great appearance and accessories, but simply did not work once installed. I contacted their support and KIA's prior to returning. While their support responded promptly, they stated the unit was and I quote:"I understand that the charger is having an overcurrent issue. To fix this issue please adjust the current on your EV car's side to a "reduced level". Some EV cars do not communicate/display the right current it receives. In reality, even at a reduced level, you will still get the right amount of current/amperage when you use the charger"KIA stated for the record that every EV car should automatically charge based on what it is given and the KIA EV6 does not have an option to change "modes". They suggested I return it and get a Grizzly or a ChargePoint level 2 unit instead.

Additional investment
Great option to charge your EV atHome. It’s faster than the public chargers. You just have to do your home work. I bought it thinking I would be able to connected to the dryer outlet but I had to do some additional investment. Hire an electrician to installed a 50amps breaker ( $550) and the charger cost me $600. After all this, I’m getting a 100% in less than 8 hours. Still new so it works great.

sophisticated, high-tech unit.
Arrived on time and as described. Installation was easy, requiring no special tools or electrical expertise, as I already had a 50 amp, 240v outlet in my garage (for a welder). I bought an adapter to complete the 6 - 50 to 14-50 connection, and so far, through several cycles, it's working as advertised. A full charge for our new Chrysler Pacifica hybrid takes about two hours as opposed to about 15 hours via 120 volt hookup. So far so good -- can't speak to the durability or long-term quality, but it's a nice unit.

Quality & good help with problems.
I purchased a new KIA EV-6 and wanted to charge it myself and not use the pay station chargers. After searching for 240v car chargers I chose the Lectron 240v 40 Amp level 2 charger. I liked the idea of a unit that has a display screen that gives you information as it is charging. The display gives you real-time current & voltage, power consumed, charging time & a charging icon (flashlight battery-shows how full battery is charged)I had a licensed electrician install the 240v 50 amp line & mount the unit on the wall although I could have mounted it myself as it is fairly easy to do. I was now ready to give it a try so I plugged it in.Almost immediately the display lit up with SHORT CIRCUIT - OVERCHARGING. The display was showing pulling in over 46 amps. I knew it should only be pulling in around 40A and figured I must need to change something. I unplugged it and shut it off, grabbed all the KIA & Lectron manuals and started reading the charging sections again looking for anything related to the problem. I could not find anything in the KIA manuals, but in the Lectron manual at the end of the English section was a need help line with the email contact. I sent an email describing my problem and hoped that this was not going to be one of those futile, hair pulling, banging your head against the wall episodes. It was around 5:30 PM on a Saturday so I assumedno one would be answering me until next Monday. To my surprise, at 10:42 I received a reply. She indicated that my EV charging input was set on high & adjust the charging current on the car's side to Reduced / Mid-level. I took the manuals, went out to the garage and started looking for the current section and after playing around for about 10 minutes, found it and made the change from Maximum to Reduced. I turned the car off, turned on the charger & plugged it in. HEY - it started charging at 40.5 amps with no more error messages, dashboard lit up and indicated charging to 100% would take 3 hours and 10 minutes. It has been working fine ever since. I am impressed with the quick response from Lectron with the accurate info. I am glad I decided on getting the Lectron. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have only been using it for about 4 weeks. I will see where we are a year or two from now.Joe

Nice product, great customer service.
Asked for replacement and received it in no time. Much faster than the first one.Everything as described. My biggest disappointment was that even though I purchased the 40 Amp model as opposed to the 32 Amp one, but the charging rate is about 31 Amp. It turned out that my Kia NIRO EV internal charger is 32 Amp. So, in fact, I could have paid less for the 32 Amp model and get the same result. But still happy with my purchase. I particularly appreciate the excellent customer care the sellers showed. Thanks 🙏
