Peacefulness
Great Elvis recording. All songs are recorded with the same cadence - the same basic beat. Mostly slow, yet with Elvis's trademark soaring voice. We played this CD over and over again as my father, an Elvis and gospel fan, lay dying. It brought peace to all of us. I highly recommend this particular recording for anyone going through a difficult time. Just listen to the samples and you'll see what I mean!

心にしみる讃美歌
讃美歌のCDというと多くは合唱であるが、日本人の讃美歌合唱の多くは甚だ残念ながら迫力を欠いている.やはりキリスト教の伝統がまだ浅いためであろうか、心の底から歌う気持ちが足りないように感じる.毎年クリスマスが近づくと、意識して讃美歌の曲を買い集めているが、多くは失望に終わる.英国の教会などに何回か出席したことがあるが、一般の信徒の歌唱力に圧倒された.「讃美歌ってこんなじゃないのに」といつもつぶやいている.そんな中で、このCDは普段もよく聞いている.とくに「あなたも見ていたのか」と「久しく待ちにし」の歌唱がすばらしい.沢知恵のほかの讃美歌のCDももっとほしい.

クリスマスでなくても
我が家では、今年のクリスマスに買いました。今日も、一日中ぐるぐる回しまくっています。ああーーいい声！！現在の日本のキリスト教会での賛美歌、聖歌はプロテスタントもカトリックも、なんかメロディ、言葉ともぴんと来ないのが結構あります。明治以来の古文調の歌詞を現代口語にする取り組みなどが影響しているのかとも思いますが、このアルバムではそういう不満がとても解消されます。イギリスの古歌がお好きな方、ゴスペル・ファンにもとても楽しめると思います。クリスマスでなくてもとてもお薦め！
