This is a plastic bushing that will not last -- it's a temporary solution only. I purchased this last August and both sides have broken now. A simple fix is to get a metal flat washer ( 3/8 x 1-1/4) and reuse the broken bushing -- it works fine and cost 95 cents each washer at the local Hardware store.

I bought these November 3rd to replace in my chair I've had FOR YEARS. These hip bolts just broke on me. It's barely been a month. I had a feeling when I got them and they were full on plastic..

These fit fine, but they do not contain the 'pivot' portion of the original hardware, because of this they break down very quickly. They lasted all of 3 weeks before both were broken. When I requested a refund they wanted me to go through the hassle of returning the broken material instead of just refunding the (way too expensive) cost.
