garden COLORING BOOK

This in a beautiful, creative book with lovely illustrations. I use colored pencil, as well as pen on my pages (for the small areas), and find that any of the pens I have, which usually work just fine for my other books, bleed through the back of this paper. Unfortunately there are a lot of small spaces in need of a pen. I like the book well enough to order some gel pens to see if I can get better results than with my typical fine liners. If you enjoy shading and the use of your pencils, this is just the book for you to enjoy.

This book iis extraordinarily beautiful! The beauty of it begins with their creamy white vellum paper. No, this book does not have ordinary paper....it is designed for colored pencils, as it is a vellum. If you love using colored pencils, you will be in heaven! Layer away!!! The art is fantastic. If you love nature, this is the book for you. There are all kinds of critters, not just garden critters. Ready to color a gorgeous pair of penguins?

This is a beautiful book... designed by a Japanese artist. It is easy to color. The completed book will be enjoyed by young children. The animals are more realistic than in many other books.

If you don't like coloring with lots of details then this book is for you. Although the drawings are cute the pages are very thin. With that the pages bend or get damaged very easy and it's hard to color backgrounds.

This is a really sweet book with some pages one sided but most two sided and much more than just flower garden images instead filled with very sweet wild and domesticated animals in a garden setting too. The coloring is not too detailed and complex but produces lovely results!

The best colouring book ever

It's a poor reproduction of the original book, Harmony of Nature.It appears the pages are slightly reduced photo copies of the originals, not positioned properly for binding into a book.

Incredibly beautiful and whimsical drawings of nature. The detail in the flowers and animals is lifelike as you see in the examples. Drawings are on both sides of the page and the cream colored paper is a nice weight.

I purchased the Garden Coloring book going by the look of the cover only, and for once I wasn't disappointed! What a stunning book, I am so happy with this purchase.The images are just stunning, its my kind of colouring book as I love to colour animals and nature, I found pencils lay down well on the pages, but I wouldn't recommend water colour pencils or markers/felt pens, as they would bleed through.With this book though there are 8 pages in the back, which takes some on the images from the book and puts them on single sided sheets of a thicker card/paper, which would take markers or water colours!Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys colouring animals/nature.Happy colouring!

I ordered Garden Coloring Book not knowing what to expect. Well it came today and when I opened the Amazon package it took my breath away. It is a truly beautiful book. The artist is a young Japanese papercut artist and one of his names is Garden. The pages are filled with the most adorable animals, kittens, rabbits, squirrels little mice, owls, deer, hen, etc and all types of birds including a lovely swan, a duck and not to mention the three most adorable baby penguins with sunflowers tied on their heads, you just want to say oh how sweet they are. There are also lovely flowers, toadstools, etc.The book is printed in Japan on very high quality thick paper and has a double cover with red metallic highlights on the raspberries.it is so nice that I am afraid to colour it for fear of spoiling it. So maybe one should get two one to colour and one to keep as is. I guess marker type pens may leak through the pages as they seem to do this in most of the colouring books. So maybe coloured pencils or watercolour pencils would be more appropriate. It does say suitable for watercolour. However, I can really, really recommend this book for your collection.

I bought this book for my Mum (who loves it). The artwork is lovely. The designs are beautiful. I suspect it's one for coloured pencils only because the paper isn't too thick, but it's not flimsy either and there are some special pages at the back of the book with designs printed onto much stiffer paper stock for use with markers. I like that idea. Some pages for pencils and some specifically for markers.

I am in to all sorts of crafts and when I saw this I thought I would have a go. The paper if of a very high quality and a great assortment of designs to colour. I find it very relaxing so after a stressful day out come my colouring pencils and book. Intend to buy more.

A lovely high quality book with charming pictures some a bit like brambley hedge stories printed on decent quality paper i m using derwent inktense pencils wet on the paper and it stands up very well subject matter includes flowers cats mice and other assorted animals worth every penny
