Yes, you could use it as a stove top exhaust fan. The important thing that you have to remember is that you have to clean the fan more often depending what type food you are cooking most of the time. Because there will a greese build up eventually. I installed my fan on side wall next to my stove as a secondary exhaust fan. I hope this information could help you.
