HISENSE 55A7GQTUK good
The picture is sharp and clear the sound is through my sound bar, but sounds not bad without the sound bar. The remote is not by infra red , when it is "paired" it uses either wifi or bluetooth. Smart function is good , I have Netflix and others. At less than £500 it has to be of excellent value for money. A similar spec from LG cost more than twice. I have 2 not so good points, 1. the set has only 3 HDMI ports, one is for ARC leaving only 2, but I need 3. 2. When playing mkv files through USB, you have to turn subtitles on, it doesn't play subtitles despite the mkv file is set to default. 3. User guide is not complete, e.g. for voice control, it says nothing on what you can say so that the TV understands. Also it says not a lot about the remote control use of wireless. This TV can play dolby vision videos.

Great SMART TV for the price on buy date.
I love this product but the screen quality is not the best but better than most at this price. Remote is easy to use and has many features and can be used for voice to text or for searching specific apps. Many streaming options and apps. The only problem I have is that I've just recently moved and accidently lost the stand screws during the moving process and Amazon customer service can only have the product returned and give me a refund when all I need are replacement screws for the TV stand. And I don't have a clue on how to search for the right size and length screws for the stand so now I have a TV sitting there in a box that I can't put back together again. Other than that pretty good TV. Just my fault that I didn't put the screws somewhere safer, just wish I could find the right screws for the stand.

Superb TV for the price range.
First off, in broad strokes, I work for a company that independently tests TVs and certifies them so I have access to lab technicians that test the hell out of thousands of TVs.I saw that the price had dropped on this TV and was incredibly cheap for what I'd seen in the lab.Amongst the techs in the lab it's widely agreed that at most price points HiSense produces some of the best looking panels you can get, second only to LG.The only snag is that you have to spend some time setting it up to get the settings just right as out of the box, these TVs seem like they aren't anything special. Now if you buy this TV you aren't magically getting the equivalent of a £2000 TV, far from it, but you are getting something that you would usually pay at least three times the price for.The UI is responsive, the picture quality is excellent and the features work exactly as you would expect. There are no frills here with regards to the software but it does perform very well. You won't feel like you're using a cheap TV at all. In my opinion the UI is smoother and more responsive than most Samsung TVs. Believe me, we use TV UIs a lot in the lab and there are some absolutely awful user interfaces out there. Even on what you'd think are high end TV sets. The second possible snag with with HiSense is build quality. For the most part, I've never had a problem with the build quality of a Hisense product, however, I've heard of several people receiving units that have cases that don't snap on quite right, that are bent and so on...so whether or not you get a perfect set seems like luck of the draw but your chances are very high that you'll get a unit that is just fine. This particular unit has nice thin bezels, it isn't too thick but is nothing to shout about. It is quite utilitarian, but at the same time, it's boring enough and modern enough to not look or feel cheap. It's just very generic.Overall, great TV for the price just spend some time going through the picture settings to get the most out of this TV. I'm not going to list off what I changed here as picture settings can be very subjective and they depend entirely on the type of content you watch and your own expectations. Just make sure you when you're adjusting the picture settings that you playback the highest quality content you can. Tuning using a 720p YouTube video is probably not your best bet, just saying.Out of the box my set had the latest firmware on it and in my opinion the settings were ok out of the box, but nothing was popping. I mostly adjusted the Dolby Vision settings to be honest. Finally, the upscaling on this unit appears to be excellent. Putting a 1080p signal in from a TIVO box and observing the content, it does a very good job of upscaling to 4K. It's obviously not miraculous, but from most viewing distances most people won't be able to tell that the signal isn't 4K.The brightness of this TV is good without being being obnoxious in any way in a bright, sunny room you might have some issues but for the most part it's bright enough to deal with a reasonable amount of glare.Viewing angles are pretty solid too. I have the 50 inch model in a relatively large room and honestly at this price point the TV punches well above its weight. This is simply the best value 4K TV right now. You will have to pay at least twice as much to even approach similar quality.

A great value tv (Once you know the settings)
This TV looks great, and is extremely good value. However, for reasons best known to whoever designed it, it took me just under 3 hours to understand the right settings to bring the best out in this TV, these are:When you turn on the TV go to 'settings' and turn picture mode to 'cinematic day' and turn on 'auto low latency mode'. This will cure all of the probelmes that the TV gas 'out of the box.If you see a gamer then turn the picture mode to 'dynamics and rather obviously turn on 'gane mode. This is an extremely powerful TV for the price, and it looks great too.But I have to say that I can't imagine why the default settings are so appalling. However, trust me and immediately turn the settings to what I have stated above and this is a fantastic product.Additionally turn sharpness to '0', along with the settings changes above this will correct all frame lag problems.

Best Picture Tv For Price
Never write reviews and I only just got the 50 inch today but for the price it's 100% the best picture quality.Had numerous Tv's in recent years not OLED or QLED but spent 3x the money this cost on Sony and Samsung sets and this is much better picture quality at least.Sitting here waiting for something to go wrong to be honest because how low the price is compared to just the Samsung I sent back last week.I am thinking of getting another just because of the price. Well that and I don't know how long it will last if I start playing Fifa on it.

IMPORTANT - BUY A SOUNDBAR!
As referenced in a title, you absolutely need to buy a soundbar to use alongside this TV. The picture quality, speed, interface are all amazing and it brings out some beautiful views from games and videos. HOWEVER the sound is so so and not that great for bass which means it plays really low even on loud. This is why I say BUY a soundbar as it really did help create a more immersive TV and Cinema experience and sounded far better than the TV speakers!I recommend the AZATOM bar with the Subwoofer as the bass was much improved and really did bring all my music the highest level of quality included gaming and YouTuber videos. So yes, good TV BUT BUY A SOUNDBAR TO MAKE EXPERIENCE FULLY BETTER.
