Perfect conditions and gift!
This cute set of animal nesting dolls was perfect for my 3 and 2 year old as a Christmas gift. They just opened it early today and everything was great. The dolls all opened easily, easily enough for the kids to do on their own. They fit perfectly within each other. Zero issues with this nesting doll set and I highly recommend!

Son loved it !
Was a Christmas gift for my 5 year old . . He loves it . . It is new so it sticks some when opening the nesting dolls . . Will be easier as he uses it some more. .

Cute, Tough to Open
Product as described. Cute. My only complaint is that the are tough to open/seperate. I’m hoping over time they become easier to do so.

Cute animal nesting set
I was happy to find this nesting set with animals. My granddaughters (5 years old) enjoy them; it’s something they can keep for a long time

Bad quality, came cracked and painted shut
The photo in the description shows a crack in one of the animals. I bought them anyway. There was an almost identical crack in the same animal (Tiger). And the tiger was actually painted SHUT so I had to break the seal with a knife to get the penguin. The others were warped and didn’t close properly. Please look elsewhere for better quality nesting dolls.

Love this
I bought a maruska doll in Europe for a granddaughter and her brother wanted one. I saw this animal themed one and gave it to him for Christmas. The graphics are great, he loved it.

Beautiful but literally could not open
We were so excited to see this beautiful elephant, but that's all we could see because no matter what we tried, we could not get the elephant open. Short of damaging it to crack it open, we ran out of ideas and had to return it. The guy at the Amazon return desk at Whole Foods was a bodybuilder-type and wanted to take a crack at it and actually was able to get it open. After reading other reviews saying it just needed to be sanded down, I decided to give that a try before returning it. It definitely took effort but the product was so beautiful and exactly what I wanted for my granddaughter that I decided to put the effort in. FYI, it didn't just need a gentle light sanding, but required coarse sandpaper, about 45 minutes, and some elbow grease to smooth out the rough lip on the bottom of each doll as well as the inner lip on the top of each doll so that they would fit together. Several of the dolls also needed a protrusion on the bottom to be sanded down so that they would stand up properly. The panda took some extra work. When we put the top on, it would slowly rise on its own. The inner lip needed to be contoured to fit properly. I'm not a woodworker or anything and I figured it out, but this was definitely a bit of a DIY project.
