It is compatible with zippo oil. **Q: Is it water resistant?** A: I would imagine that a little rain wouldn't do it any harm. The cap that lifts up when you spark it as a regular lighter (not the match) covers the wick so it has a little protection. But I wouldn't submerge it. **Q: Does it come with instruction manual? I dont know how to prepare or operate this kind of lighter.** A: No instructions. Simply remove largest screw to fill lighter with lighter petrol, not gas! The smaller screw contains the flint. To operate after filling simply light by cantilevering the “roll” , the lid will open operating the flint and the lighter will light. The “everlasting match” is more of a gimmick than it actually working, striked once and has not worked since. The lighter on the other hand is built well from my experience and strikes nearly every time.
