apart from the two inch one which I assume someone else is getting good use out of) and only have slight dings on ...
Thru Tang? Its three bits of metal, not one.Broke after a few months of very light use. The main chisel part has a socket which is hidden under the black part of the comfort grip and its not even welded into it.I know how to sharpen chisels so don't abuse them, my Marples chisels have lasted for fourteen years (well, apart from the two inch one which I assume someone else is getting good use out of) and only have slight dings on the striking endsI bought one of these from my local tool store after I lost my Marples two inch chisel. The chisel its self is more slender than the Marples and initially I was dead chuffed with it. Holds a good edge (I mostly use the two inch chisels for cutting in hinges) and seemed like a good one.Maybe six or so months later I noticed the handle wobbling about, gave it a twist with my bare hands and the entire thing fell to bits.If these things were genuine one piece through tangs this wouldn't have happened and another bloke I was talking to on a site complained that his were just as bad.Stanley have really failed on this one and to me using a three piece tang and calling it a through tang is false marketing.
