Some good, some bad, a decent bargain
This is actually comprised of two different DVD sets bundled together, 12 discs in each package with 50 movies apiece. The two are: 50 Horror Classics & Pure Terror. Both are also available on Amazon separately, but will cost you a bit more than this bundle. (As of this writing, this bundle is $19.99, if bought separately will run you around $28.99.) So it is a decent bargain. On the negative column, since there are 12 discs in each fat dvd case, the discs are individually enclosed in separate envelopes which are stacked inside the case, so it is less than ideal. Still, it comes with a synopsis for each film in a booklet and if you have a certain film in mind, a handy dandy index which will lead you quickly to the appropriate disc. The movies range from great to obscure to bad. Unfortunately the bad outnumbers the great by a wide margin. And even some of the great films (Nosferatu & Night Of The Living Dead) have pretty poor transfers. As most (if not all) of these films are public domain, these transfers generally range from poor to acceptable. (You could actually find a comparable transfer of Night Of The Living Dead on Youtube for free.)Still, there is a lot here to digest. Around 130 hours worth, and since $20 is a low barrier to entry, its hard to fault this set too much. And some of the transfers are actually quite decent. Carnival of Souls for example has a great transfer, I was mildly surprised. Silent film era and 1930s films fare much worse, but after that begin to improve. Though 1968's Night Of The Living Dead, as mentioned before, is pretty bad.If the idea of exploring a world of (mainly) obscure horror appeals to you then come on in. I have to confess I personally find it ptetty interesting. Still, if you're mostly into modern films be warned - these movies run much slower and demand a much more attentive mind. But if you love horror through the ages, from the silent film era and classics like Metropolis to William Castle's House On Haunted Hill with Vincent Price to the artsy, more disturbing brand of off kilter horror with the weird Carnival of Souls, you should find something to like here.

Great Collection!
This is a fantastic collection of horror movies. More or less all of the classics are here, as well as a good selection of other, lesser known films (some of dubious quality). If you’ve bought horror collections in the past, you will likely already have a good number of these movies. But this is still a great set to have. It is an ideal first purchase if you are just starting a classic horror collection. The movies include (“classic” indicates that it is a particularly well known or influential movie):The Amazing Mr. XThe Amazing Transparent ManAnatomy of a PsychoThe ApeAtom Age VampireAttack of the Giant LeechesThe BatThe Beast of Yucca FlatsThe Black DragonsBlood SabbathBloodlustBloody Pit of HorrorBluebeardThe Brain that Wouldn’t Die - ClassicCarnival of Souls - ClassicThe Corpse VanishesCreature from the Haunted SeaCrucible of HorrorCurse of BigfootDead Men WalkDeath in the ShadowsDeath Warmed UpDementia 13The Devil’s NightmareDevil’s PossessedDoctor Jekyll and the WerewolfDon’t Answer the PhoneDoomed to DieDouble ExposureDr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (silent) – ClassicThe Dungeon of HarrowThe Eerie Midnight Horror ShowThe EmbalmerEvil Brain from Outer SpaceFangs of the Living DeadThe Fatal HourFrankenstein 80The Giant Gila MonsterThe GorillaGrave of the VampireGreen EyesGuru, The Mad MonkHands of SteelHorror Rises from the TombThe House by the CemeteryHouse on Haunted Hill – ClassicThe House that ScreamedThe Hunchback of Notre Dame (silent) – ClassicThe Indestructible ManInvisible GhostIt Happened at Nightmare InnKeep My Grave OpenThe Killer ShrewsKing of the ZombiesThe Last Man on Earth – ClassicLast Woman on EarthThe Little Shop of Horrors – ClassicThe Mad MonsterManiacManos: The Hands of FateThe MansterMetropolis – ClassicMonsterMonster from a Prehistoric PlanetThe Monster MakerThe Monster WalksMutantMy Mom’s a WerewolfThe Night Evelyn came out of the GraveNight FrightNight of Bloody HorrorsNight of the Blood BeastNight of the Living Dead – ClassicNightmare CastleNosferatu – ClassicOne Body Too ManyThe Oval PortraitThe Phantom from 10,000 LeaguesThe Phantom of the Opera (silent) – ClassicPoint of TerrorRevolt of the ZombiesThe SadistSatan’s SlaveScared to DeathThe Screaming Skull – ClassicA Shriek in the NightSwamp WomenThe Tell-Tale HeartThe TerrorTerror Creatures from the GraveTerror in the JungleThey Saved Hitler’s Brain – ClassicThe Thirsty DeadTormentedThe Undertaker and his PalsThe Vampire BatThe Vampire’s Night OrgyThe Werewolf of WashingtonWhite ZombieThe World Gone Mad

Hours of Shock and fright.
Item arrived timely and as described. What can you say a hundred movies for 58 cents or less per title. You are actually getting two fifty packs Classic 50 Features Horror and Classic 50 Features Pure Terror, they are slipped into a carded cover. Well worth while, I am enjoying these a lot. There were several adult level movies in the Pure Terror collection, Blood Sabbath, Frankenstein 80, Night of Bloody Horror, Point of Terror, Satan s Slave, The Devil s Nightmare, The Vampire s Night Orgy, they all have frontal nudity, violent sexual scenes or really gratuitous violence, while they are not labeled as such be aware. If this is a concern just buy the “Classic 50 Features Horror” also from Mill Creek.

When actresses and actors knew how to act!!
If you enjoy the way that ladies and gentlemen use to dress with such elegance, and then those cars that looked like a real car, plus the actors and actresses really knew how to act and not really on all the special effects that we have now to the point of loosing or forgetting the plot (if there is any),so many explosions and buildings being attackd by giant robots and beasts, plus now days it seems that all the movies have the same 10 actors in them, but if you want to really scape reality for while; And believe me,with this COVID-19 saga and unemployed morons trying to take over the United States Capital by destroying yelling and intimidation,well...get your self this movie package and get away for a while.

100 is a lot, but why not!
Some of them are not really terror, but for this much entertainment, who cares.I don't understand why people are complaining, if you want blu-ray or remastered copies of these ( at least your favorite ones.) Try and find it and enjoy your show. But for me, this set is good enough.

Great collection
I give this five star because we love the old movies, it is fantastic one can get so much for under £20 because I remember in the 80s buying a VHS video single movie the cheapest being £25. Now over 100 watchable movies for under £20 on DVD who would of ever thought it? Well it's true and what matters if there are movies in this collection one would never watch? Watch two or three enjoyable movies it as paid for itself, I enjoy a good old black and white horror with it poor effects it makes me laugh, I also like good modern day movie with their great effects. All I* can say a great collection for a very reasonable price.

Great fun
Movies vary from great to abysmal but that's all part of the fun. Certainly some obscure classics to be found.Quality as you would expect varies from very good to diabolical. Sometimes poor quality is the only way of seeing these movies.I would say 4 stars for the good stuff but the package was so cheap it deserves 5.
