Works great at an unbelievably low price
The meter was easy to install on a new 40 hp Mercury outboard following the directions. Instead of mounting the meter on the outside, I zip tied it to supports inside the case. That means I need to take the cover off to read it but since I only need to read it a couple times a year, that is not a problem. The meter is completely sealed, including the battery. Since it is a simple liquid crystal display without backlighting I'm hoping the battery lasts a long time. If or when the battery dies, the cost of the meter is so low I won't mind buying another.

So Far It Works and Appears To Keep Accurate Time
What an easy to install item and it appears to keep accurate time on my pressure washer. It would be a nice addition if a small piece of double sided tape was included as the screws can only be used if holes are not an issue (Like On Top Of A Gas Tank)? Additionally, the wire can be made shorter if need be. I took a risk at 10 bucks and cut off excess wire that was not needed for my install and had no functionality issues. It now has 2 hours on the machine and still working. The LCD is always on which will kill the battery over time and an auto shutoff would also make this even better. Time will tell?

easy to install and worked correctly imediately
I used vinyl electrical tape to secure the inductive pickup coil to the ignition wire, I had problems trying to use the wire ties. FYI the suggested drill (2.5mm) for mounting is very close to #39 American Drill
