Very simple replacement. After putting the first one on I took my hand off the hood and it stayed in place with just one replaced. Replaced the other one and closed/reopened hood, no assistance needed - they lifted the hood right up. Excellent product and less than half the price of my local parts store.

Got this for my 05 Dodge Ram 1500. My truck has a full metal hood, and the struts have lived out their strength. These are pretty much a OE replacement, and work great. They are strong, and really help lift the hood up and keep it up. Perfect length and width, as I said, OE size. They are a little stiff when closing the hood, but I'm guessing that's because they are so new, but that is not a deal breaker. If I ever need another set or need one for my other vehicles, this brand seems to fit the bill. I would buy again.

Bought these for my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. They were very easy to install and raised the hood then kept it up. What more could you ask for. Now I can get rid of my "Hood support stick" that I had to carry around! Would give them five stars if I could look a few years into the furure and see that they were still working.

Great replacement hood lift supports for 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. Easy replacement. Hood lifts itself and stays in place. We'll see how long they last.

My old struts only worked when the weather was warm and on perfectly level ground. Even then I still had to use the old hockey stick method to keep the hood from dropping on my head. If you have the same thing going on, it's time to face it...they're shot. Time to replace them. Get these struts! They are super strong, so not only do they hold the hood up completely stable, they actually relieve the weight as you lift the hood and do most of the lifting. That's more like it! Easy to install. Just insert the lower end first and then lift your hood as high as needed to align the upper end. Takes longer to get the old ones off than it does to install these.

Arrived in good condition and when expected. Takes about 5 minutes to change out. Seem to be quite strong as they can push up and hold a heavy hood. Hope they have longevity.
