If no one will cut it on purpose they will keep your mattress safe for a long time. Bought a second time because someone cut mine in the middle. I choose it again and will continue buying them if that happens again. But… the adhesion wasn’t super great. I definitely recommend using duck tape to tape it seal. Especially if you have a gel mattress. We have the Casper mattress and it was a struggle to move it around as there wasn’t any handles either. I'm not saying it isn't a great bag, it is. It's thick and easy to slide the mattress in. However, if what you want is to vacuum seal a mattress, go to vacuflat.com and for about $10 more you can get a bag that's already prepped with the vacuum seal ring. If you get this one, you'll have to cut a whole onto the bag and find a way to seal the vacuum cleaner to the bag.
